I wouldn't recommend sending the units to <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com<img src=" /><st1:City><st1:place>Lahore</st1:place></st1:City>. I suggest you take them along whenever you go to <st1:City><st1:place>Lahore</st1:place></st1:City> and insist Arshad does the work himself while you wait. Call him ahead of the visit as he is extremely busy especially at the beginning of the summer season installing A/C's. Arshad has a good work ethic and knows VW's inside out. The same, however cannot be said about his workers. Mention my name and you'll get super treatment.

What is the recipe of this incredible magic? i am facing this rust problem too... and is there anyway to treat/contain the deep rust? i have heard of rust convertor but can not find it here (in Peshawar)

surface rust can be treated by WD40 as well but i have no idea what it will do to the paint.

Back in 2007 i bought an American Product named "CorrosionX" for corrosion prevention, i did a wonderful job. Unfortunately it was a smuggled, couldn't find any more. should i have know about its amazing corrosion prevention abilities, i would have bought a carton of it...

surface rust can be treated by WD40 as well but i have no idea what it will do to the paint.

WD40 is mainly an inert (non reacting) petroleum based or some even say fish oil based product and is safe for painted surfaces. The exect formulation is known to only a few. (the company did not patent the product to avoid revealing the formulation) However as a thumb rule when trying anything new or if you are unsure, apply to a small area that would not be commonly visible. The best area to experiment is the inside of the glove box lid.

The inside panels of fenders on the main body shells (as can be seen in the pic below) are in fabulous condition, with no rusting and minimal depreciation to the original color. My question is how these areas can be preserved for furture. Please suggest a treatment.

This is simply amazing. The inside panels, especially the rear usually escape the stone chips and spray of water that the wheels kick up. At a later stage you may wish to get a small can of original paint mixed up to touch up the exposed areas after sanding them to bare metal and doing what is called the "qalam touching' (pen touching) using a fine tipped brush to coat the clean areas before they rust again.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /><o:p></o:p>

The bottom halves of the rear fenders usually bear the brunt of the kicked up stones and water spray. The easiest way to reduce the impact is by installing mud flaps. The front of the car however would need to be attended to by keeping clean and avoiding a build-up of mud on the lower edge of the panel (the edge of the pan actually)
