Just took Patina out for a quick ten mins spin to check/confirm the fixing of the rattling windows. Nothing like an early morning drive with quiet windows

Here are few pictures from mins back at 4.30am;

Now that the rattling windows are fixed, I could hear a few rattling sounds, crunches other than the doors/windows. Will ascertain the origin of these sounds next whenever possible and would work on fixing these sounds.

The clear motive is to make Patina's drive as quiet and smooth as much as possible.

good work! do check the tail lights and the brake lights if they are working.

lol. I love the "fweeem" of bugs (thats the unique whistle sound which bugs make once these powerful/sexy beasts are revved up and fed some gas/petrol by flooring of the Accelerator Pedal).

Everyone at my place is an early riser including my next door neighbours as all of them like to offer their morning prayers. So as far as waking neighbours is concerned, they were already up as I could hear sounds of movements/activity from their side of the wall.

As far as roads are concerned, roads were all empty and no one could be seen so I took full advantage of the early morning hours and enjoyed the ride with getting ample chance to make out where from the other rattling sounds/crunches were coming, after the windows were made quiet, which would be eliminated turn by turn as the DIY progresses.

The fweem sounds really good, some people don't like it for some reason and go with custom built exhuasts. I see, glad you enjoyed your morning ride. I bet Patinas ride feels more comfy then before now.

These flat-fours are built to last, as soon as I get my Bug up and running I am going to test it by taking it out of Karachi and see how she performs on the long-run.

I am afraid @shahzebulhaq is right.

These two shots are of the OG Exhaust/Muffler. The first shot (Original Trivia Picture) shows it being an Original German muffler with a marking of "Made in Western Germany".

Its just rusted and quite understandably since Patina never got this kind of attention to get it ever re-painted.

This in itself is an item worth preserving.

Have been out of town and returned only after midnight. Was too tired to carry out much of DIY. But still as I have made it a routine that I work at least an hour a day on Patina, I focused on cleaning the under the rear seat area of the heater channels. Here are a few pictures from before and after:
