Reezvan bhai ... Y are you going through all this pain to get the paint out from bottom. You can get it re painted. I read your thread daily. Till parts i do appreciate the effort. Your expedition on this beauty has helped me gain a lot of knowledge. My question my seem idiotic. but still. Y THE HELL ARE YOU SAND PAPERING A CAR when eventually in the end it will go to a paint shop to get done?

And definitely it looks much better now.

Took these hidden treasures out after quite some effort, without un-installing the overriders. And this is no VW part, instead this is what it really is:

"DHAAGEY KI NALKIYAN" I can not imagine what these were doing inside the overrider. May be some mischievious kid played an act.

Ha ha ha...for a minute I was intrigued...I was wondering what it could be....

good call on the denters, i'd suggest you have a good think and then go with whomever you're most comfortable with.

no doubt khalid is the best mechanic,.. but since he's strapped for time i tend to get minor (and some major) work done from mumtaz now too. in no way does this mean khalid is not good or whatever,.. it's just more convenient to have mumtaz come over to romanos for the entire weekend and work on everyones cars. we then pay for the hours worked on our cars and everyone leaves happy. thanks to mumtaz bith my 1303 and thing are driving a million times better than before.

Don't take me wrong but i am still kind of puzzled that what is the point of "preserve it as is",if i had to do it i would bring it back to its original condition, like painting it and bring it back to to factory specs mechenically using the same year parts and stuff (like what Mr.Mohsin is doing to the "splitty").What i feel is that you are wasting time and energies on just washing and just removing the rust from it.It is just how i see it but still best of luck on your project.
