Ok time for some promised pics. But before I post the pics, big thanks to @shahzebulhaq for his help and the pictures. Its Blaupunkt Santos Model # 7.639.190 AM/SW Radio in "fair" condition. All it needs is good cleaning and some decent knobs. It has to be a 12V as it came originally with 1969/1970 bugs:

Yeah, better than what I had actually imagined. Just a quick wipe and knobs and there it is...all set to add some charm to the dash already.

But lets not forget...its NOT correct for Patina's year (1965) as its 1969/1970. But its always better to have one than nothing at all especially when its something which is considered to be hen's teeth

indeed!! i believe it would suit a 1969 bug better:P
nice gong though! cant wait for the roof rack to go on!!

Unfortunately, you know I have had been busy elsewhere...beside that, it has been too hot and humid to carry out the DIY even at nights in the porch.

Anyway, since the weather has changed here a little and above all, since ppl have started forgetting that I do own a 1965, I thought I should resume DIY without any delay

I have a pressure washer but it operates on 110 V. wondering if I should pack it along.... A pressure washer makes life so much easier in such cases.
