Theres a local brand called sloan who make a very very very potent degreaser (this thing will cut out all crud from the inside of an intercooler from a turbodiesel engine and even A/C condensers), it only comes in a 4 litre can and was Rs 1500/- back in 2006, I bought it from Marriot Road Karachi. you mix it with some kerosene and ATF and use a metal spray bottle, you would then need to scrub with a brass brush, it eats away grease. Using it neat will be pretty useless as it evaporates very quickly - and please wear rubber gloves when using it.
BUT
it is so fumey that you can land in the hospital in no time - tried and tested :), be sure that you have all the air ventilation to your advantage. You would need a drip tray to clean out the engine/tranny otherwise all the grease would end up on the floor (not very freindly with the lady of the house). Once it has done a major part of cleanup which would be 98% use some turtlewax soak cleaner (some car details nuts on PW will tell you where to buy it), it will take care of the rest 2%.
Or if there is some sort of industrial place near you (us Karachi guys had Korangi Industrial Area) - and there was an industrial shop there where I used to buy stuff, it stocked greases, oils, filters, bearings, tools, clothing, coke, chips, pencils, pens, erasers, etc etc etc. Those guys had bottles of citrus based degreasers - they were water soluble and did not harm aluminium like any alkaline one does, and your engine smelled like fresh orange juice for days :D. One bottle of 3 litres used to cost Rs 2000/-
