Freeing up the zerk fittings is the best time you will spend on your car, greasing makes the car work flawlessly like it should. A very irritating freind of mine has a Ponton Benz - now that car is grease nipple galore - takes good time to grease every single one.
When the basketcase benz was bought I had to free the zerk fittings - as many were siezed - caked or simply blocked, I made a solution of ATF and kerosene and petrol - applied it by brush every 6 hours for about 2 days, it freed them - the most stuck ones were treated with a thin butane torch and WD40, candle wax when the can ran out - when my goofy assistant (car owner) forgot to bring along the case. The most terrible ones were left in the mixture for a week - came out brand new. Later to be found that a shop in Plaza had all the original nipples at throwaway prices (felt like shooting my neighbors cat)
anyways, Mobil are selling their NLGI2 blue grease cartridge again - best for these fittings.
