: If you are thinking that bracket is looking little odd since its showing from behind the chrome bumper, you are thinking on the right lines because it should be completely hidden behind the bumper and shouldn't show. But since I didn't have the original measurements, I got this one made on a mere judgement from two months back when I have had a look at the original one with @shahzebulhaq in ISD.

Why would you do that!! I have the original bracket with the Reverselight and one can always get it replicated for you.

looking at the color of ur engine oil it seemz like the Oil in your car was also original.

Oil change was due for Patina's motor so changed the oil. Thanks to @Storm I had Petromin Ultra 7 (4ltrs.) SAE-20W-50 advanced motor oil (wonderful quality) stashed away which I collected on my last visit to Islamabad. Here are step by step pictures of the oil drain/cleanup/fill up:

Plz dont laugh at the make shift funnel...trust me this is the best way to fill up the motor without spilling a single drop elsewhere. Since I didn't have the sump plate gaskets so I didn't unbolt the sump plate to clean the sump inside. I would make sure that I do that on next oil change in Islamabad where these gaskets are as cheaply available as much as for Rs. 20/gasket. You need two such gaskets.

With this done, Patina now has all lubrication/performance fluids changed and is good to go on a journey as long as the VCCCP Rally

You are welcome buddy. Well there is no cam shaft inside the transmission my good friend there only is gears (grarris), bearings, syncro rings and a big shaft they all are mouted on :). Cam Shaft is a part of the motor.

black engine oil is good - it means it did a jolly good job of mopping the engine internals and as this engine does not have a real oil filter just an excuse in the shape of a metal gauze - its pretty normal to drain nasty oil from this engine.

The best sump gaskets are the handmade thin green ones. cheap and cheerful. in PIB colony Karachi there are a few dozen shops who deal in only gasket making. And nearly 2 of them carry such maintenance gaskets by the bulk. Ask a karachi member to buy and send you some.

Dont you love the oilbath air filter. a filter change costs less than nothing

for the rusted nut - make a wick out of a wad of cloth, and somehow tape the thing over the nut/bolt, then perodically pour vinegar - it kills rust, might take you a day or so but it will remove the rust and free the threads. The wick will ensure a steady supply of vinegar to the rust.

Went out early this morning and collected the FUCHS recommended grade Transmission Gear Oil (SAE-90). A complete drain of the transmission gear oil is in order to be replaced with this one:

i got some SAE90 yesterday and it was in a silver can. now i'm going to check to see what the difference is with your "Titan Super Gear" and what i have. i hope i've not picked up the wrong stuff....
