the work is going on great. and since we are on topic or removing the dust from the trims, i wanted to seek you guy's advice on something.

while waxing my car, the guy who was waxing left some wax near the trim pieces and now it is hard and is like as if some mud is stuck there. it comes off if i rub it with a toothbrush or nail but i dont want to do that as it will scratch the paint and there is too much to do. i have tried different shampoos but it does not come off. any suggestions?

spray some kerosene oil and let soak / soften for a few minutes before using a kerosene soaked tooth brush to brush the wax.

Make sure its a different tooth brush you use to brush your teeth or buy a new one for yourself. Most people don't like the kerosene flavoured toothpaste first thing in the morning.

for the hinge i have one suggestion. instead of using a hammer, if u have a hammer drill, put in an appropriate sized solid metal rod and use that to hammer out the hinge. just a "jugar" suggestion.

btw i would try the kerosene method to remove the clot with an old brush ofcourse but first i will post pics of the problem area.

Look what I have found; was looking for something to put to use tomorrow from my stash and this is what I came by, so thought I would share with you. For those who are not familiar with these bits, its a set of perfectly clean and in tact Dash Knobs, noteworthy is a Windshield Wiper Switch/Squirtor Knob (100% tested and functional - goes on the dash to run the Wiper Motor while squirting some water from the Windshield Washer Bottle through releasing Air Pressure from the Air from the Spare Wheel contained in the trunk while this Squirtor Knob on the dash is pressed), Patina was missing the Original Wiper Switch/Squirtor Knob (An aftermarket switch is in place) so this would be put into use later on after a thorough cleaning:

Tsk tsk tsk.......you plan on using THAT? when you can use one of these in the picture...All you need to do is ask!

My wife thinks I am off my rocker collecting odd shaped nuts bolts and difficult to describe items in ziploc bags and pipe tobacco tins but it is for this reason I maintain my collection.
