you using card board or lasani sheet ? lasani is water proof and i guess these days all cars are comming with lasani sheet , i recentelly change my cultus door pannels with lasani sheet ,

these are crown lifan generator spark plugs, you can buy the original NGK equivalent of them as BP7HS, they are used in Yamaha YB100 engines.

Let me rattle my nuts and bolts memory, I recall the old VW spark plugs should be standard nose not projected nose like this one.

from the pic above i can guess that your engine is really in good shape from inside , wish the comp test will also be +ve

Thanks buddy, I hope so too even though I would want to be sure of it by conducting a compression test. What you see is result of fine tunning of the motor and consistent TLC. Despite the fact that there are couple of matters which need "immediate" fixes (such as addition of engine bay rubber seals and addition of thermostat flaps/thermostat assembly for completion of engine cooling system), the motor is doing great. I plan to make these fixes available as soon as possible and only waiting for thermostat flaps/thermostat assembly to arrive from @nmshaikh/ISD to smoothen the motor at sustained operating temperatures after installation of engine bay rubber seals.

I haven't checked the compression yet as last night (actually early morning today) despite the effort I could not "hand tight" the "screw on" adapter of the compression guage onto the cylinders.

Thus "push on" adapter has to be used for which I needed assistance of someone to crank the motor while I held the push on adapter/compression guage in place, and assistance wasn't there at that hour so I couldn't test the compression. May be I would be able to get that tonight.

i have seen that compression guage which you share few days before , couple of years before i also buy such , but i have noticed that the one i buy was not of good quality , no acuracy , i feel some pressure leaking also , so i make my own heavy duty compression pressure guage , will do a compression test on my cultus whose engine is recentelly overhaul and has not yet covered even 10 km , thats not the right time for a test will do after couple of 100kms ,
you also plan to do oil pressure test ?

a compression leak for which I will have to run a leakage test (which I seriously pray doesn't come to that)

hehehe , same here , i am just scared to run that test on my car , what will i do if my car fails,,,,,,,this make me scared ,,,,,,,,any how best of luck for that test , share pics here too ,

Passenger side rear panel done - there are a few waves at the right upper corner that I failed to straighten as it really is a challenging task to stretch the rock hard 47yrs old vinly to mount it straight on the cardboard.

I started off with almost 2inches short (shrunk) vinyl on the cardboard and it took me over an hour of serious stretching and repetitive heating of vinyl to do it this far. Even heating the vinyl in front of heater didn't really work coz of sheer winter and low temperatures.

I plan to try and clear out these waves in the noon today in bright sun with heater handy.

you can get good results by using a hair drier...I am sure Bhabi won't mind...or you can borrow it from Romano..he does not use it very often.

btw get a professional duty hair dryer, the little chooha philips dryers are scrap to be honest, For me the best results to soften such old door card vinyl was to leave them in the summer sun of Karachi for 20 minutes after a wash with dove soap (the moisturizers in the soap really help). 20 minutes in the sun and "saari akar nikal jaati hai"
