torn between paint color choices still and until it is decided, cant really go forward with interior selection. all under consideration paints are factory paints but which one to go with is the real Q

cordoba red (which also happens to be the factory color on my luce being restored)?

concorde silver?

bright white?

or caribbean blue?

i too have been swaying towards concorde silver in recent weeks as the color really brings forward the true bertone lines of the design. lets see what others have to vote

send me the foot board if it is removed from car, will get it welded for you and send back, if that helps. or is it that you want to weld the board onto the car itself, in which case i cant be of much help unless you send the car over, lol

the gloss in first caribbean blue pic is because its a pic from the factory brochure from the time of launch of the luce. the 2nd caribbean blue pic is reality check on the same color after 45yrs of service, from real life

Atlast i gave up and was going to show him the picture,but in a hundredth part of second Mazda 1500? *what a car it was in its time!

as far as i am concerned, there is a close contest between staying cordoba red and swapping for concorde silver. re-visit the pics of the two colors and see that no other color brings forward the bertone design lines better than these two colors (the design lines on the nose and sides). then again look at bright white and caribbean blue and you would know what exactly i mean

to me its not always about how much do i like a particular color but how strongly does it bring forward the design of the car. i am not so sure what others think about this philosophy but that is what my real consideration is when it comes to choice of what paint color to paint a car with

you would hardly find a negative feedback on luce from owners who have previously owned and driven one. however i wont be so sure about the same when it comes to mechanics

thank you for recommendation but we are sticking to factory colors for now so forgive me if i dont consider this recommendation at the minute. however when it comes to datsun designs, i always liked datsun skyline GT better

I would vote for bright white. Silver, as nice as it looks, shows imperfections in the spray pattern and the color often doesnt match between the panels like visible in the above picture as well.

sure you can. mine was posted just as a point of reference to compare with datsun 1600 design and in no way was claiming that it was the best pic (of a skyline GT) or car available anywhere

I suggest concorde silver for your mazda, if done nicely it has very good gloss.

thank you, you are absolutely spot on with pointing out the problem with going for a silver. this is exactly what has held me back from deciding in favour of concorde silver as final color choice over cordoba red

yes true. so with your vote, we have 2 silver, 2 bright white and 1 caribbean blue vote. mine doesn't count because i am still torn
