Bro it depends on what u want out of ur car... If your looking for smooth long drives and mileage or wanna convert it to CNG then go for a 7AFE...

for performance and not considering mileage at all then 3S or a JZ swap would be the way to go...

Both of the engines you mentioned produced good amount of power (130-180hp)
Any idea of fuel consumption? i am currently using 3C-T, it produce more or less 90hp. i can settle on some engine that produces a bit less power but give good fuel economy.

i am definitely looking for fuel efficiency. i should have mentioned that MKII is a RWD car. 7-AFE is unfortunatly unfortunately for FWD cars. not sure if its RWD variant available.

Ansar bhai,

I love 3SGE Beams dual vvti as a 4 banger as it has pretty decent horses (210 that can be bump up to 500 range) with 6 speed. As a matter of fact I have one waiting to be installed in my 73 corolla.

But if you are worried about it being pocket friendly then 3SGE isnt the right swap for you.

4age in my opinion is too small of an engine for such a big car like yours. But if you are not too worried about need for speed and given the road and traffic conditions in Pakistan that might not be such a bad thing.

Think of it this way with 4age you wouldn’t necessarily need to upgrade your rear differential or totally upgrade your breaking system just change to cross drilled rotors along with ceramic pads and you’ll be alright as long as you don’t go ballistic on your gas paddle.

So last week I was cruising on freeway and felt like hood is going to fly open and had to back off pushing the car further<?xml:namespace prefix = v ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:vml" /><v:shapetype id=x0000t75 coordsize="21600,21600" o:spt="75" o:preferrelative="t" path="m@4@5l@4@11@9@11@9@5xe" filled="f" stroked="f"> :S</v:shapetype>, I then went to work on doing something about it and came up with custom hood pins to secure the hood from flying open. These will work in conjunction.
