Salaam guys just sharing my current restoration (just completed) I did at home myself on my corolla gt ae82
I own 2 corolla gt ae82 red one since year 2003
And white 1 I purchased December 2014
I purchased this car from a old couple who had the car since 1988 only having 1 owner before them.
The car body is 100% and never been painted or modified
The car Drives 100% with no knocks or bangs,
So as these cars are know to rust and is wasn't showing no signs off rust I decided to dig further and inspect the body work firstly by removing the arch mouldings and this is what I was greeted with
After a good hot wash I was left with real visible rust
Then I treated the affected area with rust treatment
After leaving for 24hrs I was left with this
As the body moulding have metal strip inside them which caused there cars to corrode I also treated them with rust treatment
I refitted the arch mouldings using some windscreen bonding so no water could get in
Same with all 4
Final pic off arches sealed on
Then I removed wipers and gutter rails and sanded Down the door surrounds as I wanted them Matt Black
