i swaped my nissan engine... Put 16 valve efi, Original 1.6 GLi engine, its performance was awesome. It costed me Rs. 50,000/- for everything.... After engine swap u don't need to alter the chassis as chassis is body/frame number of the car..... In the registration book u wil have to change engine number

I mean to say is this nissan engine fit bolt to bolt and from where i purchase either from lhr or pshr.

sir as far as rates are concern i hav no idea but can guide u... well if u wana swap petrol engine as @panicslayer said 1.6 GLI (4A-FE) engine will be gr8 and if u wana 1.4 or 1.3 u can find easliy 16 valve twin cam orignal nissan engine it will cost u around 20,000/-

I was trying to recall the name in my memory and u mentioned it. 16 valve twin cam original nissan engine. Wel this is the best option and for this u don't have to have any alterations as it sits bolt to bolt under the hood

i have 98 model 2.OD car now i want 2 swap petrol engine of 88-92 sunny 1000cc or 1300cc carburator engine is it possible? kya in gariyon ki fiting same hai bolt 2 bolt chane hosakta hai ya koi alteration karni paray gi plz if any budy know? tell my thank u

try finding Nissan's ga-15de, its bolt on in the 98 model, not sure about eh 88 one though, but i guess very little alteration

Salam Poster. I have owned the same car u have in original petrol 1000cc engine and honestly speaking it sucks in terms of pick, power and consumption. i would suggest u to put in 4A-FE 1.6 engine and as told u above it is best money can buy in terms of parts availability, every roadside mechanic will get his hands on it happily. Moreover in terms of power its great engine.

Plus one thing you must keep in mind if you get a 1.3 carby engine it will give u the same consumption as 1.6 efi engine will provide to u. But in terms of power there is a hell of differene. Plus starting issues in a cold winter morning will remind you the reliability of 4A-FE.

yes same frm my side.16valve efi 1.6 gli engine..n panic it cost around 35000rs not 50000rs..aur workers ki mazdori samaid around 40000rs ...

in my opinion, the best engine for that shaped sunny is CD 17, very smoothly reving and lovely engine equally powerful. I remember in 2000/2001 no 2.0D could compete with it, even 3.0D police dalas were put to shame.
AC had no effect on engine power, economy always better than petrol.
