I have a Pajero which no longer goes into 4th gear and overdrive. The car was absolutely fine with shifting and kickdown everything working smoothly but suddenly since the past few days its stopped shifitng into 4th gear and so the OD button also does not work. I tried checking the tp sensor and everything and changed the tp sensor as well but the issue got worse so I had to put back the old tps. The car only goes into 4th when I put it into A/T Hold mode but the overdrive lockup at 80kmph is still not there and the OD off button does nothing. I tried to research this online and from pajero forums in UK i heard that its the OD temperature sensor so I grounded that but still no change.
I would appreciate if anyone, who has faced this issue in their pajero could give there insights on how this could be resolved.
If anyone knows any specialist mechanic who can work on Pajero’s in Karachi please respond to this.
