1996 Honda civic low Rpm Problem

My honda civic 1996 turned off on low Rpm i cleaned thoratal bidy chock sensor fuel filter distributor cleaning no error is showing on computer or inhistory. Please tell me what is the problem my car is workkn great suddenly it happened. I also replaced the plugs with new NGK plugs. When i start again check engine light appears or on low rpm car start missing check engine light appears

What code does the check engine light show?
Since you said the check engine light comes on
Maybe there’s a vaccum leak
Or the intake is sucking air
Like the intake gasket is leaking
Or tps sensor is faulty

Thabk u souch for ur suggestions but on computer theres no code or error displayed problem is when i took of my feet from accelator to change gear or atopped on signal the rpm goes down and fluctuate and engine turns and when u start again the check engine light appears and after appearing the light the cars runs ok.

the engine is D12 civic 1.5 and ecu code i am not sure about it

D12? Exi came with D15 non vtec

nope might be i am wrong i have honda civic end of 1996 model 1.5 v tec engine vti.

You will only get a code when that check light is on
It’s definitely some sensor that’s faulty
Atleast that’s what it seems like

Thank u soo much bro. But u knw what suddenly my car is behaving perfectly fine today.
I reilled my petrol tank fully tht time my tang is empty on last sign i dnt knw is that some problem low fuel i gave full accelator and car is working fine but next time if the light appears i will try yo get the code hopefully the dont appears.
U r absolatly right it seems some sensor problem.

Honestly it could also be that the position of the fuel pump isn’t correct
Get it adjusted
Just check the fuel pressure by some good mechanic
Like when it’s dropping the rpms

As far as I know honda does not fix older vehicles anymore. I had the same problem in my honda city and i found out an issue in the distributor and plugwires. If you are located in karachi go to 'carman' at gulshan. I wasted a lot of money on this same issue, my car was idling rough at times it would shut down. Sometimes while driving it would misfire and the check engine light would appear for a second and go. It was a very bad experience, so many mechanics ripped me off but carman fixed it.

i just wanted to know did they change your plug wires and your problem is solved? because one of my manic repairs the distributor after reparied the car is working fine after two days that is happening again then he said we sh0uld change with wires what do you think should i try or should go for this??
beause no machinc is able to trace the fault its me researching on internet and telling them to check this and that.

I was going through the same problem, to be honest even after the issue was resolved we still couldn't pinpoint the cause.
As for plug wires, while the engine is running try pulling each of them out but not completely out of the cylinder one by one, to see if they are arcing (seeing visible blue sparks) your mechanic will know how to do this. If they are, use electrical tape (nitto, osaka) on them. Agar masla hall hojae tape lagane se sirf aik do dinno tak matlab samje tape ne apna kaam chordia hai aur aapko new wires leni paregi. Aur jo wires distributor se engine tak ki length hai uspe b log andhere mai paani spray karke dekhte hai to look for any sparks.

As for wires, original ones for D series engine are scarce and cost around 9000, good quality sumitomo ones cost more than 4000 and ultima ones are cheap. I am using ultima ones at the moment, make sure you buy these ones if your current wires have gone bad (model number)

finally after spending so much money my problem is solved.

the problem is in distributor after changing the distributor my car is running so smooth.....

i would suggest you all if check engine light appears first deduct the error through check engine light then according to the error do the work accordingly, otherwise you will continuously wasting your money.
