1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Professional advice required please!

Hi guys!

I am getting a 1998 jeep cherokee well, as a gift, if i want it. The previous owner of the car really didnt cared about it as he had other newer SUVs so this one was just parked idle at the garage for quite a while! Do you think that I should take it and make it all nice again?

Engine, Suspension, Body is all okay.

The car has never been abused but has been ignored.

The main problem is that I am in Pakistan till september, after that I have to go for my studies.

Do you think I could sell it then because my parents really wont like it if I leave it to them to take care of it.... lol

Please advice me what to do as I really saw potential behind the wheel and liked it a lot!

PS: All the documentation and everything is complete. and its a LHD

I LOVE such gifts,
Cherokees are great cars however their engines are somewhat inefficient in terms of being thirsty and only some parts are available at specialist dealers here in Karachi. Due to the dearth of parts sellers, prices are pretty high but once you get it up and running they're awesome to drive, very, very powerful engines and a 1998 Grand Cherokee is quite a pretty car.
Have you driven LHD cars before? If it's auto then it's far easier, with a manual you'll take a couple to weeks getting used to. And when you leave in September you can gift it to me coz they're not so easy to sell, esp LHD ones.
