This project started when my mechanic drove in this car to my home to top up fluids and check up my TATA Nano car. This car is a Maruti 800 ( Mehran in your market) that was made under licence from Suzuki Motor , Japan by Maruti Udyog LTD which was a state owned entity at that time. Today ofcourse things are different and those were the days.
I saw this car liked it, drove it around the block and fell in love. The car was in running condition , had good pickup. I don't know if it was plain impulse buying or whatever i decided i wanted the car for myself. After a little haggling we decided on a price of 25,000 rupees and the car was mine. This was in July 2021.
Six months and more passed before my mechanic told he had time to take this restoration project full on and the car is now undergoing the same. My mechanic has sent me pics of the project so far and i will share them till the final reveal which i was told is about ten days away, everything willing. So, let's get on with the visuals.
