I need to know if somebody has swapped 1GD-FTV or 2GD-FTV Toyota engines into older models of LC,Surf or SC/DC models.
Or how is the performance in original vehicles compared to 1KD or 2KD ones as both are common rail designs and there was a lot of "no no" on 1KD/2KD engine swap in a FJ40 due to low fuel quality in Pak.hence causing nozzle trouble.
I was planning to swap 5-LE in one of my FJ40 but someone told me to go for either of these new engines.
Are these even available in scrap market?
What gear boxes will be suitable for auto and manual?
The vehicle will serve as DD on 95% road with 33inch tyres but will surely have 4x4 too.
