1kz: diesel pump differentiation

Hi everyone. I have been trying get some info on the differences between 1kz and 1kzte pumps both mechanical and electrical.
Would be great if anyone can share some info and pics

Got the required info.

1kz-T the 1st gen engine had mechanical pump which is had to fine.

1kz-te the 2nd gen engine has electronically controlled pump the rest of he engine is same

1kz-te 3rd gen engine has the similar pump as of 2nd gen but with an intercooler

pardon my ignorance, but what does an intercooler has to do with a diesel pump? if the engine is boosted, intercooler or not should not have a difference on fuel timing / injection? No?

As per my understanding intercooler only cools the air which is being pumped by the turbo. Diesel pump as no connection with it.
Intercooler increases the efficiency on the turbo
