1nzfe and 5afe economy

dear both engines are 1500cc so which one hv better fuel economy and which one is fast

The 5afe is the better choice in my opinion. Lots of low end torque means its really comfortable to drive. My father owns a '94 1.5 SE Saloon automatic and that gives around 12km to the liter and around 110km on its 55kg CNG cylinder, which is quite reasonable.

The 1NZ-FE is the newer of the two, but slightly more rev happy. I am not sure about the mileage, but I know this engine is found in the platz which gives slightly better economy than the SE Saloon.

The 5afe would FEEL faster due to the torque around the city, but the 1NZ-FE should have a slight economy advantage purely because its the newer of the two.

What sort of car are you planning to put one of these in?

Expensive Engine
Parts very Expensive
Hard to swap (as our Local Electrition will have hard time wiring it up)
Will be better in Fuel Economy.

Cheap parts new or used.
Very Solid Engine.
Excellent on CNG.

I am using 7AFE (1800CC) in my 98 Corolla it gives me around 190 KM Local CNG avg with 55kg and around 13 KMPL and I am not a slow driver :). I had a 5AFE before but 7AFE is more fun (Max Torque at 2800RPM) and amazingly giving me better economy than 5A.
