Dont worry about the turnout, i still remember our first Lahore gtg, there werent much detailers there too, only 5-8 cars, but within two weeks we organized another gtg, and it was a MAJOR success, the 3rd gtg was held after quite a while say 3 4 months of wait, and it was a BLAST.

So i would suggest that just go with it, let people get a hold of it, and then see the magic of bling bling

How was the meet guys, need updates, its been raining here in lahore, and i've always wanted to have a wet detailers meet lol, we've had it in Dengue season, had it in summers, had it in winters, now its time to have a rainy meet.

well i couldn't reach the location at kh-e-hafiz but did reach the de-salination plant by 5, found no one there, so started photography of random cars present there

Sirjee that is why I had PMed you my cell number a night before...

Skype was initially planned with just Lahore but in turned into a Nationwide conference... We had members on Skype from three separate locations in Lahore, One from Islamabad and one from Gujrat (for a brief period on the phone only)...so the departure towards photography point was delayed till almost sunset...and then we forcefully rushed to phase viii and parked just a km short of the desalination plant as we had found a good location with just minutes of decent light to spare...

wish you would have called...btw I saw that black civic and that Rx8 on the way to the rendevouz point right opp Creek Vista...on that new dual carriage way...and if I remember correctly, I did see someone standing out and taking pics with a DSLR as we whizzed past...I think the gentleman was of above average height and was slim...

Sorry bro we missed you, I wish you would have posted a day ago or even early morning...as most of us Karachi wala were out detailing our rides since early morning and then rushed out to the venue...so none of us who attended could check the internet yesterday...

but don't worry there should another meet very soon...

Omer bhai congratulations and hats off to you for organizing this great event.Such events on regular basis will promote detailing like we have done in Lahore.I know the attendance in Karachi is a bit on the downside but Karachi because Karachi is a bigger city and areas are too far.I lived in Karachi for 15 years and I know that it takes more than an hour to travel from Malir Cantt to DHA.My advice to you to is to arrange it in the middle of the city so that it becomes more convenient for everyone to participate

first GTG/meets are always low turn outs...

plus low participants means high interactivity between members at a personal level...people open up and from a formal/semi formal session it converts into a causal session. Furthermore, less risky as well...first event, you do not know the temparaments of individuals...easier to manage on a smaller scale...

A lot of people wait to see how the first one goes and then plan to join in the 2nd or 3rd...

Lastly, who says it was small...sure we were only 4 from Karachi but look who joined us...Usman (vague one), Ahmed (Ahmed Yar), Rizi (Rizi), Kashif (Konsltant) and Amir (Accord) from Lahore, Amir (Skill) from Gujrat and Jugno from Islamabad...to sirjee we were Masha Allah say 11 members participating and IT TURNED OUT TO BE A NATIONAL EVENT

What more can we ask for

Yes exactly that was a successful event indeed.I remember at our first gtg there were only 5 to 6 cars and our third gtg was a blast.
