2 Killed, 5 Injured in Accident (Defence, Karachi)

Two cars, namely Toyota Hilux/Vigo and Toyota Corolla collided yesterday, 21st of July 2015.

Location: DHA Phase 8, near Moin Khan Cricket Academy

The deceased were identified as 25-year old Hammad and 20-year old Shamoon while the injured included Saif, Shahid and Muqeem who were transferred to Jinnah Hospital in critical condition for further treatment.

Police said that the vehicles collided due to overspeeding.

Please do not cross speed limits and do not play with the law. always ensure you have equipped seat belts. Shame on Toyota Indus Motors, cannot even add airbags in Toyota Corolla.

My brother and his 5 friends took my black corolla to watch an early morning show of Bajrangi Bhaijan for 5 am, they were on Khayaban -e - Shaheen heading towards Nueplex, an eye witness claims that there was a white car next to them going to Nueplex as well, A drunk guy in a Hilux suddenly took a long turn from Khayaban -e - Khalid on to Khayaban -e - Shaheen facing Itehad (Wrong Way) Now I'm sure both drivers heading towards Nueplex freaked out, my brother thought that there is space between his and the white car so he moved to the left, unfortunately the Hilux driver tried to save the white car as well and moved to the left as well, the first collision was with my car's driving seat and the Hilux's passenger seat, due to this collision my car swerved and became parallel to the Hilux, the second collision was with my car's front passenger seat and the Hilux's driving seat. As you can see in the pictures that both cars are parallel instead of head to head.
A rod came out of the steering wheel and went through my brother's heart instantly taking his life, his best friend sitting next to him died a few moments after the impact, the rest 4 were in the back severely injured and unconscious.
My sister got a call from some guy who works at Express News at 4.20 am first from my brother's phone and second from his own number, her and I reached there and spoke to the police who said Aman Foundation ambulances have taken everyone to Jinnah Hospital, go there immediately. A very nice guy had collected all the kids belongings from my car including phones and wallets and gave them to us, a few phones were in the police's custody.
I called my Uncle on the way to Jinnah and he reached there before us, I saw four boys badly injured, Danish Ajaz who's two legs were badly fractured unconscious, Bilal's bladder had exploded and hip bone was broken, Rohail's hand was fractured and he could not speak but was conscious, I held his hand and he kept looking at me with his face and mouth all bloody, I had to make him let go of my hand so I could look for the rest of the kids, Saif was unconscious and his face was bloody and scars on his eyes.
A reliable doctor from AKU who had accompanied my uncle took us aside and told us that Hammad and Shamoon died instantly before heading to Jinnah.
Aisha and I requested to see his body to believe it and when I hugged and kissed my brother's dead face, blood gushed over his face which was proof enough.
The other Kid's families were informed and they were as devastated as we were.
Currently Danish, Saif, Bilal and Rohail are in the ICU at Agha Khan Hospital near National Stadium.

Horrible accident I heard about it on news couple of days ago. May Allah give those deceased a place in haven.
