Brother, sorry for the delayed response. The NET was down for a while.
I would suggest visiting Mirza Saleem Sb. 03336103211. I go to him if there is a sensitive/complicated job. Nice, learned & reasonable person. His workshop is about 50 meters from the KB stand @ Dera Adda on the same left hand side while going from Dera Adda to Aziz Hotel Chowk. There is a huge tree in his gate that probably says 'Nissan' in Urdu.

@Tareeen - Yeah i know that guy lately he was expert of conversion of petrol cars into diesels if i am not mistaken and his workshop was on the opposite side of the road & i use to get my corrola 82 fixed from him in late 90s

I'll be looking forward for your call, however i would also like to show you my BJ60 for your expert opinion so i have no problem if you can spare some time at evening, then i can catch u at your place also.

I live in waqas town near chungi No. 1 (adjacent to Dr. Kamran Salik's home).

And yes - your J40 is shaping up nicely - cant wait to see in person

Matti Bhai - It was pleasure meeting you I am very impressed by the quality work which you are doing with FJ - And i am also sure that this beast is going to be the best FJ of Pakwheels Inshallah.

I can get the 60 along or can join as a navigator of your tall 40

Though the navigators option is more lucrative for me

A J40 caravan crossing Babusar Top and descending into Chalas. In Fairy Meadows, trying for Deosai, Skardu, Astoor and all this with the beautiful Killer Mountain a.k.a, Nanga Parbut standing tall next to us. That will be our side view all along after the top. And all this will make our J40s happy doing what they do best

Brothers, the update is that after searching and calling wherever I could, i was unable to find a single 13B-T engine. So, decided to put the original 2F back in, as we discussed. The good thing is, the engine is as good as it could be. The engine oil is as clean as new. Even the existing carburettor is working fine. Clutch & pressure plates also seem to be replaced just before it was parked for auction.

Apparently, this engine was dead as it had all the spark plugs replaced and not even tightened back in properly, and same with the carburettor. It was rather hanging on one bolt. Almost all plug wires were missing etc etc.

I'v replaced, plugs, plug wires, point & clutch bearing. Hopefully rest of the things will also be such a blessing, Insha Allah.

The engine is back on frame and the vehicle will have the final paint job within the next few days.

Firewall & underdash is ready for the mechanical & electrical components to be installed. Once its done & vehicle is tested, we'll put fenders & bonnet etc.

Due to a long pause (because of engine search) in the paint job, the vehicle is undergoing a re-doing of base coat before the final pain is applied.
