Guys.

What things are exactly needed to convert into power steering?

Need to change the steering box and have to install the power steering pump? what else?? any ball joints or tie rods too?

And nOmS6.. what was the cost of power steering conversion?

I have to get power assembly and front disc brakes with manual hubs for both the vehicles. I have yet to check the market here in Multan. Lets hope I find them here. As the demand is rising (with @machine bro. is also looking for these) lets hope the kabarias do not get over excited with the prices!

Its going to be White (the Honda Civic white) for this vehicle. Out of all the half a dozen original colors, white is the one that appeals to me most (or is least annoying). Once we decide to go for new colors and tones, we have of course unlimited options.

You have already answered precisely. And yes, the ball joint set will do miracle to power assist steering. Do get the spindle & housing checked throughly for any kind of play or jamming in it. It can be repaired and even new ones are also available aka KULFI

Power steering conversion on J40..

Power Steering Gear Box (genuines available for J40s)
Power Steering Pump (geuines are harder to get but later TOYOTA pumps work fine)
Pressure piping.
ATF Container Bottle

and you are all set to go. My power steering conversion cost me around 20k. That is inclusive of all 4 things mentioned above plus labor.

I would also replace all the ends on the suspension, inspect/replace the steering damper shock and service the steering 'kulfi' (not sure what the actual term is for that). Do it right the first time !

Since I hope to test drive this one day, I am releived to know there will be a power steering, yay !

I am not a fan of white color for any vehicle however done properly it looks good with the right match of accessories.
If I had picked from among the stock colors, I would have gone for ivory beige. Real classic look.

The beige is in fact a true depiction of the vehicle's character. My father has one in that color (though metallic now) so had no choice but to go for a different one.

Sir as per our last discussion, i have assigned someone to find out a complete body & suspension kit (with out frame) to bolt on. This can be another rather quicker solution to get it on road without waiting - Though it will swallow few grands

Bro - Cant see any noise / heat resistant sheets on firewall inside the tub or engine bay?

As i understand, as far as the gasoline engine is concerned, the noise might not be an issue but the heat might roast legs

moreover, which part in below picture is called KULFI?

The "kulfi" is not visible in your pic.. here I have tried to mark it for you..

There are also no stock noise/heat insulation. You will have to get it done by the upholstery guy. An effort which you will not regret later. The heat even comes right out of the gear box cover in the middle of the vehicle.. So an all around insulation (jumbolon with Aster), IMHO is mandatory.

Well, keeping the fairytale off Pakwheels was unintentional. Its just that I started it @ IJC first and continued with it on & off. Now the things have shaped up a bit, so I'm thinking of posting the selected pictures here as well shortly.

Its still waiting to reach the testing stage and major /minor adjustments are being discussed on & off the forum.

No news on the diesel engine as yet. 2F is running but with vibration & missing. In fact I can quote the same paragraph from your restoration thread where you have addressed the same subject
