What I learnt from various websites about the stock color combination for J40 is
White body color > Black grill
Rest of the colors > White grill
Though we tested to see if white grill as well as silver (same tone as bumper) looks better in any way. But personally, somehow, the black made more aesthetic sense.
For the wheels, I will be looking for the stock six spoke white steel wheels from 1986-7 LJ70. Something that I think will look gorgeous on a white Fj40.
This particular picture is from our trip to Northern areas around 1995. The vehicle was having around 165k on ODO with its stock 2L engine which gave up a few years later @ around a little short of 200k. We were 6 people, my father, brother. two helpers (seen in picture) with all the cooking & camping gear. The trip was about 10 days.
