Great pic you guys must have enjoyed no matter dad was there for surveillance

Why dont you have a look on those rims which we saw on Haji Noordin place? I guess those iron rims were similar to these mentioned in the above pic, You just have to paint'em white. Or even i think we can search these at old tyre market. These must be available.

In fact dad was & is a great travelling companion. And that was one great trip by all aspects of it.

Very well pointed out about Haji Noordin, brother. That set also seemed to be of the right offset & size. Will pay him a visit when I'll start the hunt eventually, Insha Allah.

And yeah, the yellow color had to be hi-lighted to be readable.

The vehicle is as good as it is seen in these pictures from last days at workshop. It has always been garaged & have been driven just few hundred kilometers ever since as part of pleasure drives sometimes. So much so, that it has never been required to be washed at service station till date.

Considering the fact that I know many people on Pakwheels who will read this advert., I have kept the price to be realistic, reasonable & fixed to avoid any disheartening feelings. I wish to offer this vehicle so some fellow enthusiast / friend can enjoy our hobby starting here onwards saving lots & lots of time, efforts & headache that has gone into this restoration.

Just went through this interesting thread , got it located while surfing FJz modification to 13B/14 BT due to inherited issues of 2F though that served different regions well once in active service. You might have undertaken new projects, but just a query does 2f enable your excursion trips well or you succeeded in switching to new power packs. If the rig is still in your use what are its latest configurations, any modifications to make its ride more comfortable , plans also included its conversion to camper grid. Looking forward, thanks

Thanx brother. Both vehicles were sold a while back and still with very dear friends. Both are still running on stock 2Fs but with electronic distributors and running perfectly.

2F itself has no issue other than being thirsty. A new carburetor and electronic ignition / distribution system sorts out its unpredictable behavior and unstable running. Those who have used carburetors from 1fz, 3s / 3y (not very sure) say that even economy improves noticeably.

thanks for your kind reply , i found it appropriate to seek guidance basing on your experience as you dealt with stock version of 2F in your FJz , myself maintaining my rig on 2F & its consumption doesn't bother me much as stock version is simple machine to address in the field & by fixing yourself a fuel n current supply flow at country side puts you on road without recovery effort, i have been advised to swap it over to CDI & coil conversion with carburetor change but at present the machine is tuned good with water throwing performance . This restrains me from going for any alteration , however my next venture would be to take it along to farthest northern place . I have been told that at high altitude 2fs have a peculiar continuous missing character which is addressed by adjusting timmings etc time & again & the best performance is of dieselized jeeps due to ample power for load capacity . But i want to have 2F permanently in my rig .

I am interested to find out performance of 2f in hilly areas & any suggestion which may pay to keep it road worthy in case you had a tour to hill stations in stock version, any modification/ conversion you made to ease your ride in suspension , body or differential etc will also be a great share

I personally never took these vehicles up north due to long stretches from hometown. But those who have, mostly had converted theirs to cdi / electronic distributors to avoid and change in behavior due to changing air density with elevation.

There has been a lot of modifications to one of the vehicles, its the Trail Cruiser thread. Its ride is so soft that one forgets its a forty series.
