Hi.
Little help please. I want to replace the transmission oil but not sure which is the correct one. ATF or CVTF?
I have 2004 automatic honda city (vario).
Thanks.
City 2004 Vario has CVT gearboxPlease use CTF transmission flide.I ruined my City gear by using ATF fluid
use honda genuine CVTF not ATF thanks
Your car has a CVT gearbox hence use CVT fluid.
@osama96 atf or cvtf?
He made a typo i think....he meant to tell to put CVT oil because your car has CvT transmission .He made a mistake putting ATF in his car.So put CVT oil
Thank you all.
Bro after replacing the oil please right remarks on changes if any occur.

Hi al!,Hope this thread is still active. So this was really useful information but I've got to learn something new about Honda City IDSI Vario 2004 - the car comes with both types: ATF and CVTF transmission?Everyone tells me that it's CVTF but my car particularly has 'ATF' embosed on its gear oil knob. Now I'm confused because I hear from a few places that vario came with ATF and CVTF types both and you should follow what's written on its cover when changing your oil.Can you please clarify which one to use and with explanation?
I think at the time honda didnt have a specific cvt fuild, thats why the confusion. It only came with a CVT, so I guess use the proper cvt fuild. I dont have this model so someone else can share their experience.
