2004 Prado vs 2007 Prado - which one to buy

Hi Guys,

i need some help in deciding which Prado to get. I prefer to buy the one which will give best fuel average.

1st Option
2004 Prado TZG 3.4 (with full tzg body kit)

2nd Option
2007 Prado TZ 4.0 ( nobody kit )

2007 prado is with the new vvti engine, i heard this engine gives better fuel economy.

Experienced prado owners please help me decide which is the better option to get if the price is same.

If the price is same and condition is same, go for the 2007

2007 is tz not tzg.. no leather, sunroof , hight control etc
Also what will give better fuel average

is it better to buy 4.0 or 2.7 average wise

This depends on your usage and your foot, for heavy load and heavy foot, 4.0 will give better, for light load and light foot 2.7, for heavy load and light foot, 4.0, for light load and heavy foot, 4.0.
What are the mileages and conditions and registration cities etc.of both the mentioned rides

when you are buying a jeep, dont look for fuel consumption, the cars that eat less fuel usually wear out early on many other parts and the year end expense becomes almost same.

I think 2007 Prado would have a 5 speed gearbox whereas 2004 Prado will be with 4 speed gearbox.

Result is better fuel consumption in case of 2007 Prado.

Please confirm it or ask some gurus.
