The grip which is inserted in Clock Spring Out slot also has two rows of ten points each but wire connections are made only in the upper row of the grip. Nine (09) wires will be leading out of this grip, one point is vacant.

@all plz note irrespective of the wiring layout, the diagram is showing, u should understand the colour codes of wires. As these are universal. The clockspring layout is different for diff models around the world.
1. The Green n Red Wires (common to all buttons) are Illumination negative n positive.
2. cruise Control wires are Pink, Green with Black lines, yellow with red, n the 4th is plain green.
3. The brown and green wire with silver line wires on the bottom row are the audio control. The steering that ShaMaal has. Had 3 cruise wires on the top row. oriel clockspring has no pins to connect the top row. So they were re routed using the slots aval on the lower line of pins.

CAUTION

Some of readers may note that colour of wires coming out of my Clock Spring Out grip is not as per the description of connector. I was unable to find wires as per colour coding.
Make sure to understand which wire comes out of where and is to be connected where.

The grip which is connected at the back of tachometer has empty slots in upper row.
Four wires from Clock Spring Out grip are connected in slots 9, 10, 11 and 13. Three wires are of Cruise Control function and one wire to ground.
Two wires from Clock Spring Out grip are connected to Sel/Reset button wires. (One for illumination and one to ground)
Two wires from Clock Spring Out grip are connected to player for audio control function.
One wire from Clock Spring Out grip is connected to horn wire.
Again it is imperative to understand the diagram and lay out of wire connections.

After doing wire connections and inserting grips in Clock Spring In and Clock Spring Out slot, tacho grip connected at back and tested Cruise button. Cruise Main light lit in tachometer.
Took a sigh of relief, button is working.

Now the critical part begins for which i took assistance of an electrician.
Connecting wires from ECU to brake pedal and clutch pedal.
1. First the protective cover of ECU will be removed.
2. Then three bolts are to be unscrewed. Bolts are of size 10.
3. ECU has three grips connections. All three grips will be removed.
4. Wires are connected in slot 39 and slot 41 of grip A or the first grip from forward.

The two wires connected in slot 39 and 41 are to be routed through the engine bay to the driver's side.
Just close to clutch cylinder, you can see a rubber which covers a hole. Make a hole in that rubber and pass both wires inside.

One thing i forgot to mention, remove negative terminal of your car's battery before you start anything.

Wire from slot 39 of ECU grip A is connected to brake pedal switch.
Here switch with four pin connections comes into action.
Earlier two pins switch was there, telling ECU only that brake is applied. Now the brake pedal must also tell ECU to disengage Cruise Control.

Wire from slot 41 of ECU grip A is connected to clutch pedal.
Here only two pins switch is used.
The function is to disengage Cruise Control when clutch is pressed.
Wire from slot 41 is connected to one pin and one wire is connected to second pin and attached to body for ground.

this procedure is to check whether ur tachometer is working n also if the connections are getting through. After inserting at pts 9,10. n 11 behind tacho, the other ends of these wires are yet to be coonnected to the clockspring. By touching all wires (inserted in 9,10 n 11) together the CRUISE MAIN light will glow.telling you that so far so good!

Make sure to identify the wires coming form slots 39 and 41.
Pay particular attention when making connections for four pins brake pedal switch. One wire from brake pedal switch is connected to fuse box, make sure that you connect the right wire.

All connections done, now the vehicle is ready to be tried out.
ECU closed and secured. Connected battery terminals and tacho meter. Started the engine, when Cruise button pressed, Cruise Main icon did not lit in tachometer. :o
Checked the wiring and connections, consulted diagram all was OK, then i realised that we've connected the old tachometer. Changed the tachometer and tested the button, Cruise Main icon light lit.(H)

Hydraulic jack was used to lift forward right tyre off the ground and started to try out Cruise Control function.
Engine started. Vehicle's speed was gradually increased, gears shifted and Cruise button pressed. Cruise Main icon light displayed in tacho meter. Once the speedometer showed speed above 40Km/h, pressed the Set button to engage CC but in vain. Tried several times but Cruise Control was not being engaged. While attempting to engage CC, just pressed clutch pedal and Cruise Control icon light displayed in tacho meter.
CC was engaged.(H)

NOW this is something new for all of us! plz shed more light on as to how u mounted this switch. seems like its welded. what kind of switch this is etc for the understanding of all.

lolz. kinda similar story with me. in my case no cruise was engaging when pressing the SET/DECEL several times. when i just pressed RES/ACCEL Cruise Control was engaged. i had connected the wires wrong. interchanged the wires[10(yellow n red) n 11 (lt green n black) and problem solved!!!
