2007 Vitz Problem. Need Help!

i hv toyta vitz 2007 model n im having problem. that is at "P" ok but vibrates when it is on "D" with brakes pedal pressed. Basically when you stop at a signal. how can i fix it

Kindly mention the details of your ride. How much is it driven? Has it started doing this recently? What about transmission fluid? Etc

The general solutions to the vibration of vitz are;

1) (Most common issue) If the engine is changed, engine mounting is doubtful ....
2) Vibration can be due to bad fuel or dirt accumulated in fuel filter (Clean your fuel filter)
3) Check for bad errors by connecting it to the computer (debug it)

i have 2007 vitz as well and encountered this same symptom when i bought it, i discussed this with toyota mechanic and he said it was because of the low grade fuel, so i just shifted to "N" at stops.

now that we are getting good grade fuel i checked my car on "D" with brakes applied and no vibration at all, so give the new fuel a try.

Most probably due to bad engine mounts, i own a cuore automatic and got same problem tried everything and finally found it was due to bad engine mounts. Make sure you change all foundations

check your coils .... and gor for ECU reset..... clear all the errors and see what rpm your car maintains

Had the same issue, mechanic checked and recommended a foundation replacement. Replaced it and the problem is gone now.

if its 1KR-FE 1.0 L car. some vibration will remain.

However follow below mentioned steps and it will improve.

Start putting in Toyota Taglon 5w-50 fully synthetic oil.
Change oil and air filter.
Get better fuel, preferably shell Vpower.
Get throttle body cleaned and ecu reset (by disconnecting -ve terminal of the battery).

Toyota Taglon is not the cure. Use any appropriate oil. 5W30 is recommended. Merely ECU reset will not work unless u follow the idle relearn process. Google it. All other points are general maintenance points. Don't bother yourself much with the engine vibration issue on D unless it's a continuous vibration. 1L engine will vibrate for once when u engage D or stop at a traffic signal while in D. Nothing to worry

fully synthetic oil ??? are you serious bro ?
without knowing the mileage on meter & condition of engine, i don't think so recommending a synthetic oil is appropriate.
If the engine is old/repaired, don't use synthetic your wear and tear may increase.

Check your Coils for error, trust me vibration will vanish.

dear i put fully synthetic oil in my almost 300k driven 19 year old ride. no issues. car has better milage better pick and better idling. its just that need to keep an eye on oil level since synthetics are more prone to get reduced over service interval so just need to keep them topped up appropriately.

fully synthetics are meant to ensure proper lubrication over longer service intervals and are more stable at higher temperatures and start stop traffic.

there no myth associated to old or new engines.

better oil will make engine perform better its just that plain simple.

see ! you have to keep an eye on oil level =D
people in Pakistan if they spend 300 extra .... they don't bother to look it again, they take it for granted that we spent extra so no issue will arise vice versa.....

1. You may get all of your engine sensors checked & serviced.

2. Get your brake booster / booster lines checked as the brake booster uses vacuum from the engine to work & when there is a problem in that area, it will cause the engine to vibrate when the brakes are pressed.

3. When at P, your engine is moving freely as the transmission is disconnected. But at D, your engine gets to move the transmission even if you have pressed the brakes. The IAC (Idle air control) motor is responsible to increase / adjust the engine RPM when,

4. AC is turned on.
5. Steering is turned.
6. Car gets in gear.

Therefore, if the IAC is not working properly then the engine RPM will drop because your engine is trying to move your car but you are applying brakes which is causing the engine to struggle & vibrate. Get the IAC checked & serviced. If needed, then replace it.

• You can note the above # 3 condition by observing the tachometer or by feeling the RPM changing when you shift to D from P.

I am also facing Vibration issue with my vitz 2009 model. When i scanned my car with Toyota Techtream software following error code are showing in current. I don't know its related to vibration or not? See below post of mine.

Can you tell me what are these error code means and what can be the problem of these error codes. Currently I am facing vibration on low rpm during brake operation when engine is hot and RPM drop down below 700 that cause it to vibrate on pressing accelerator vibration are gone are these error code related to this problem?

Sorry for the late reply.

IAC = Idle Air Controller.

It is actually responsible to keep the engine speed stable when accelerator is not pressed. Idle RPM may vary from 900-1100 from vehicle to vehicle & service history.

If your RPM is 1000 when you start your engine then IAC should keep it at 1000 when you turn on the AC as AC compressor will put load on the engine & your RPM will drop to 600-700 RPM so IAC will adjust your RPM back to 1000. The same function will work when you put your car in D or R.

i also have the same problem . It may be due to engine misfiring . Check if there is any engine check light , if so , treat it accordingly through some expert technition .
