Yes indeed, if you have budget and lured to buy Altis, I would support Civic 1.8, because it has newer technology enginewise. Resale of Civic is also not an issue anyomre

if u buy xli then there will be braking issue people call the cowrolla
if u buy 2d because of heavy engine there will be no braking issue
and the diesal has low consumption u can drive nearly 800km with one full tanky

Actually it depends on COnditions and Area whr u need Car, if Urban Area and daily mileage is less i suggest XLi otherwise for Long Routes, Hilly Area Remote Areas 2.OD is most suited.

Both Technology wise have some differences but what if you have Diesel Availibility in your area and you have Gasoline Engine resting at home.
