2010 Corolla Xli or 2.OD

Dear PakWheelers,

Please suggest me whether to go for Toyota XLi or 2OD 2010 Model. Donot you think that Diesel would be better in a sense that atleast the engine is bigger in comparison to 1300cc? Anyways, your suggestions are welcome. The difference between the price of these cars is 48,000.

Sir 2c engine is very old same as the one that came in 1996 ...very very noisy ......disel price is more maintainace is high.......and power wise if u compare the torque 1.3 l petrol produces 121NM where as 2.0D produces 131 NM ......disel had edge as long as disel prices were low not any more disel is more expensive than petrol now

I'll prefer XLi, You can put CNG easily on it rest is similar only engine is the difference b/w XLI and 2.0D

Back in 07 the 2.0d starting coming with abs, if that is still the case i'll prefer the 2.0d.

But XLI is better then Tractor....

Go for GLi or 2D saloon or Altis, XLI and 2D sucks coz of brakes

well i will suggests to go wid XLI at the moment according to the prices odf petrol n diesel...altough at the moment diesel has a bit edge in average but the resale of diesel car is too low.........!

XLi is much much better...but if you can stretch your budget just a teeny bit then GLi is best for you.

Brother go for GLi. Big no to 2.0D. Why

• Initial cost of diesel version is more (now about 50 K)
• Maintenance of diesel engine is more frequent than Petrol engine
• Diesel as a fuel is now more expensive than petrol (about 5 rs)
• 2.0D does not have ABS, power windows etc, GLi has
• Being a 2000cc 2.0D has four times more token tax than a 1.3 GLi
• Diesel engine is noisy

And one thing, now do not go for CNG if you buy a GLi. Because

-Warranty would be void
- No big saving, as petrol and CNG prices are coming very closer
- There will be CNG loadshedding in winters
- The joy of a new car is on petrol, I mean driving pleasure

sirjee go for GLI because i bought Gli with own cash price for Rs 14,30,000 form toyota central motors on October 28th. and i have done changes with the interior and put Pioneer 4150SD which normally Panasonic Players come. Some pics of my ride for u.
