The Bentley Mulsanne is a luxury car produced by Bentley Motors Limited in the United Kingdom. Bentley is the subsidiary of VW.
Hand-built in Crewe to unparalleled standards, the Mulsanne represents the pinnacle of Bentleys design, craft and engineering skills.
The name is derived from Bentley's historical racing pedigree, which included five victories at the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
It was thought that the Mulsanne Straight being the stretch of the Le Mans racing circuit where cars reach their highest speeds and Bently kept it the name for car. BUT
The straight is Hunaudi?res; it is the corner at the end of the long, high-speed straight, the one that imposes the hardest demands on brakes, tyres and suspension, hour after hour, which is called Mulsanne.
Mulsanne is not only an immensely fast car. It is also a car of supreme poise, employing massive 400mm front brake discs (370mm at the rear) to bring the power of the 512PS engine under instant control. A Bentley to be enjoyed in the curves, as well as down the straights.
Six and three-quarter litres. Theres something pleasingly traditional about the use of the fraction, rather than the everyday metric 6.75. But that?s the only nod to the past evident in the Mulsannes V8, which features cam phasing and variable displacement to deliver exemplary refinement, torque delivery and fuel efficiency.
Complementing these advanced technologies, lightweight pistons, connecting rods and a forged crankshaft further improve efficiency and the speed of throttle response. Individual sets of pistons and connecting rods are matched in weight for each engine, to achieve the last word in silken refinement. All these components are assembled by hand, with the name of the individual engine builder proudly displayed on the engines cam covers.
The venerable 6.75-litre V8 twin turbo warbles away, producing 505bhp at 4,200rpm (the redline tops out at a meagre 4,500rpm) and 752lb ft from an idle 1,750rpm.
60 miles an hour in just 5.1 seconds is the kind of performance that you might expect of a powerful 2-seater, yet the Mulsanne offers supreme luxury for front and rear seat passengers.

Even the exhaust has been tweaked so that you can't hear it kick in.

Because keyless entry systems can't work through solid stainless, Bentley has engineered in a glass window on the reverse of the handle itself so that the Mulsanne can have both weighty door-pulls and modern convenience.
The Mulsannes standard audio system comes with 14 speakers powered through 6 channels, digital sound processing and full iPod? and MP3 compatibility including cover artwork display. It even has a unique hide-lined drawer to hold your iPod? or other media devices. While for any audiophile, the option of an exclusively designed 2200W, 20 speaker custom-made Naim? sound system is music to the ears.
A pair of eight-inch LCD headrest screens are linked to a 20-GB hard drive and DVD player; they feed an included, upgraded Naim audio setup, but you can alternately use Bluetooth headphones to keep the chauffeur from hearing the latest Bieber demo.

The Bentley in my opinion looks better than a comparable Rolls Royce model. More sporty and tasteful. And it has been said that Bentley is the sporty version of Rolls Royce. This model is cool too and most Bentleys' can usually go above 300 km/h. Nice share!
