Some minor upgrades/additions that are welcome, and were much needed. But does this make the Vigo Champ a good option to buy? Suggestions and comments are welcome!

atleast they shud have upgrade the engine power like the one in Thailand vigo champ 2500cc d4d with intercooler is 142bhp....we still get the underpowered 100bhp non-intercooler 2500cc d4d vigo champ

The bull bar was never there, it was the roof rail and a bonet guard, They removed those things added rims that were previusly sold seperatly for 150,000 now they added rims and keyless entry removed the roof rail, bonnet guard adjusted, raised 50k on it.

Fog lamps arnt coming in any model on Vigo Champ (Pakistani) Since they recalled cars for melting bumpers due to fog lamp heat.

not really detuned...it is 101hp due to non-intercooled....here's the info from wikipedia

Compression ratio is 18.5:1. Redline of this engine is 4400 RPM. This engine also uses D-4D Common Rail (Common rail direct fuel injection ) technology. The only major changes from the 1KD-FTV to the 2KD-FTV was the bore and the stroke.
This engine is used in the Toyota Hilux, Toyota Fortuner, Toyota Innova and Toyota Hiace. In some Central and South American countries, Toyota also offered this engine on the 2003-20064Runner in limited quantities. It has planned to be used in the sixth generation Toyota Kijang in 2012.

almost every "truck" and car these days comes with fog lamps, as does the vigo champ in other countries, so indus motors could not solve the issue? isn't there any insulation, and quality control on fog lamps used in car assembly in pakistan? it's a first that a "new" model takes features AWAY from past models. such things can only happen in pakistan it seems. i think they are still giving the roof rail, just not on the basic model.

Haha I'm not an Indus motors spokes man but you can check the spec sheet, they have stopped offering fog lamps since they recalled vigos for bumper melting issue, they should have an alternative but God knows maybe they are cost cutting.

Other then that gx is more or less supposed to be the top of the line model price wise and G 2nd most expensive.

Price wise GX is only 50k expensive they removed some items added rims and keyless entry to adjust the 150k rims. And here you have a new model GX to make things more standard in a package.

People who are buying these for daily driving or picnics probably don't use the roof rack, rims how ever add to looks.

Why not introduce a new Hilux with a petrol engine? The 2TRFE develops 116 kW then the D-4D one would.

i own 2tr-fe 2700cc petrol vigo thailand model 2008/09 model.....i went for petrol as i dont like local vigo champ due to underpowered however diesel is really good on fuel consumption it give around 8-9km/L n petrol vigo give around 6-6.5km/L

its the best selling truck in Australia, South Africa and Thailand....here we dont have have any other options in 4x4 SUV or SUT in this price range

the tub in rear makes it very highly unstable and rear bench seats are a punishment., a used grade 4 JDM Prado sourced through Sharabhi or from UK by CrashD is better choice compared to a local VIGO,

haha..you are right. but i always like the "truck" look, due to it's high ride and masculinity, as speed is not an option in city roads. i have owned and driven many suvs/jeeps in the u.s. but those were wranglers, chevy or ford which are quite comfortable, and a class above the pakistani vigo champ. it just comes down to choices available here in pakistan, and for this price range, there is no competition for toyota. oh well!
