New Suzuki Jimny has been caught without camouflage, the Japanese model will have a 660cc engine whereas a 1.2l is expected for overseas markets. I'm loving the retro looks

Images in Japanese media claim the new Jimny will sport a retro-style interior, albeit one with space for a large touchscreen, multi-function instrumentation display, modern climate control dials, and steering wheel buttons.

You really and I mean REALLY think that PS is going to launch this car in Pakistan?

A company that's been shoving the same POS tin-can of a car in our throats for the past 3 decades?

A company that offer seat belts as an accessory?

A company that got rid of carburetors in 2015 while the rest of the world got rid of 'em in the 80's?

A company that bring cars in our market when they get discontinued everywhere else in the world?

I mean, come-on!

A general rule of thumb is; expect nothing but POS from PS!

^^they already sell imported Jimmy in Pakistan, it's imported so costs 2.2m. a lot of ppl import the 660cc variant from Japan as well so that's why I posted.

But Bro I think the current variant of Jimny which Pak Suzuki officially sells is not 660 cc! It has got engine configuration of M13A i.e. around 1300 cc, and I think it's the same as current Pak Suzuki Swift!

So I think, even if this model is launched somewhere in 2018-2019, it will definitely have some other configurations too, like may be 1.0, 1.2, 1.3, etc. And for International markets; and Pak Suzuki will import 1000 cc above variant!

But Yes, General public jo b variant chahay, import Kar sakti Hai, depending on affordability!

1.2l is rumoured for international market and we'll probably get that from paksuzuki, 660cc import option will be open though but I find a 660cc weak for a 4x4.

In Swift category, "transmission system" has been proudly mentioned as feature!

In Cultus, "Seat Belts" and "More luggage space" have been mentioned as features!

In Jimny, "Air Conditioner"; in Mega Carry, "Desk" has been mentioned as features!

Aur Ravi, bolan, cargo van k to features parh k banday ka sir peetnay ko Dill karta Hai; "Loading Capacity" and "EFI Engine" have been mentioned in features!

In Mehran, the situation is extremely worse! "Engine" has been mentioned in features!

I mean, WT*??? B* Kaunsi non-electric Car Hai jo transmission aur engine k bgair aati Hai? Ye samajhtay Kya Hain?

They have recently increased car prices for the third time this year, without any logical and Genuine reason!

Despite many other reasons (which I mentioned in one of my other post), this all may also be to cover for their financial losses which they suffered during some last quarters, or more appropriately, unhein 01 July k baad sey sales drop honey ka darr Hai! That's why they think k jitna max. Loutna Hai, abi lout lo... Baad mein mauqa milay na milay???

Brother; I'm completely hopeless about our automotive industry.

When people brag about cars that bend like jelly and feel proud owning them then we are at fault too; not just Pak Suzuki.

I think Pak Suzuki thinks we live in pre-historic Flintstone's age where people 'drive' around in these things:

No engine, no transmission!

@usman19854 Brother; I apologize for my unrelated posts, I just can't help myself sometimes.

Although I do have an advise for you:

I'm sure you can recognize this car. This car was available globally from 1988 to 2003 and Pak Suzuki launched it in Pakistan at around 2004; when it was rendered obsolete globally and it kept selling this car here till 2016!

So my advise to you is this: Be patient and wait for at least a decade! This car might make its way to Pakistan at around 2030!

i wudnt mind having one of these in my garage if it costs resonable.

Although its going to be a grey import only, If PakSuzuki plans on importing it, its going to be sold in the government sector just like they are selling the current one.

However Paksuzuki does have an history of assembling and selling Potohar in Pakistan so things can change. But on the other hand their local assembled m13A Liana had serious issues, While similar engine works like a charm in the Jimny (atleast i havnt heard of any complains)
