Its just one generation old about which you are so sentimental and Atlas has surely done their homework about it. City is better than yaris, again it is subjective but the fact is that city is expensive than yaris in most markets of the world

My conclusion is supported by many people just like yours, infact by more, because there are more Toyotas in the world than Hondas

There are more toyotas in world than bmw/audi and merceded but it doesnt make toyota better. They make reliable cars for middle class poeple, nothing fancy in it

I totally agree with you that city's suspension should be better(softer). But at the same time, I think a car should handle well, and at least have reasonable performance, even if it's not a sports car or a race car. If you think that cars are just appliances, then well, that is your perception, but I still believe that you should have fun while driving your car. It's my personal opinion that Honda still tries to keep this ethos alive in its (economy) cars, whereas Toyota is more on the side of treating its economy cars as appliances made to transport you from A to B. Hondas aren't really that fast, and especially not in Pakistan, but they are still comparatively more fun to drive. Again this is my opinion, and if you disagree no need to fight me.

I for one am not fighting with anyone here. We have a 2017 civic, a 2015 hybrid fielder and we had a 2015 Altis earlier. In all these - 2015 hybrid fielder is most fun to drive. Its pick is comparable to civic. But Altis was the most comfortable car on potholes. Civic/City are good options if your commute if on good paved roads.

Civic/City are good cars for those who weight driving experience over comfort. The razor sharp steering of civic and brisk acceleration of the turbo is amazing.

In all these - 2015 hybrid fielder is most fun to drive.

This could be due to the extra weight of the batteries lowering the centre of gravity and keeping the car hugging the road, in because this class of cars Toyota doesn't make fun vehicles by design. I felt the same in Prius, its weight probably makes it very close to the road, and the response is very good. But corolla is more comfortable for sure.

For city at this time, it is very important to price the car correctly. Pricing it above its worth will put it at a disadvantage against Yaris for sure.

I still believe that you should have fun while driving your car. It's my personal opinion that Honda still tries to keep this ethos alive in its (economy) cars
