I agree there must be genuine buyers but this certainly encourages manufacturers to carry on with their practices so someone has to take a stand to discourage them. Plus offering an older gen. vehicle after 12 years would have faced a boycott had this happened in a developed part of the world but then we have limited alternatives so its somewhat understandable from a consumer’s standpoint.

Next year city delivery time will improve as economy and port operations across the world are gradually getting back on track.

There will never be a huge difference of resale in yaris and city price...people can also continue with their current car or buy a used car but this blind booking with 5-6 month delivery time is insanity.

Same I booked on 17th May and delivery in October. As per my info, no aspire CVT delivery in September. However aspire MT delivery will start in August.

As suggested by many, if the price of the car is sky high or its an ugly looking car with minimal features available we can claim our money back once the car is launched.
It will be the profiteer mafia that will be at loss, as no one will buy the cars from them.

How will profiteer mafia be at a loss? Don't they have the same right to cancel the booking just like you?

People are not buying due to resale fear. People are booking as early deliveries are bound to give huge profits. 300k premium coming soon

I am not sure why everyone judges everyone else there can be cases a person can't due to some cuz problem so they have to take a chance of pre booking a vehicle. Like I can still see people buy 5th generation brand new cars because one can be best judge of his situation. Couple of days back me and my colleague saw a brand new applied for city and my colleague is that guy high he bought an outgoing generation. But in my opinion that guy was clever he got current city because he new one will have long wait as well as it's going to expensive so why not buy one. I did same in December 2019 and got a Gli for 70K discount even if I end up selling it 30K lesser than 20202 model but still got benefit at that time. So in short each person knows about his own circumstances so let individuals decide what they want. We already have so many things imposed on us.

But I feel the genuine buyers will ask for a refund if the car doesn't fit their needs,
While the profiteers will hold on to their bookings hoping to eventually sell them at a premium,
Again I don't have the magic to predict future, hopefully we'll know where we stand in a month or two.

It's bit of a head scratcher
People are mentioning different months for the cars booked within first two days
I received 31st December for 1.5 Aspire CVT, booked on the 18th.
The general feeling was that the Aspire deliveries were delayed.
The gentleman above seem to have booked a non Aspire variant, still got end January date.
Absolutely no idea what's the criteria here.

Its the dealership mafia issue they know how to put the pbo in system and they support the investors or may be they are booking themselves too

It's depends, when dealership has forward his booking to Honda Atlas.
At launch of civic I prebooked my car on 1st day, but my booking and PBO is provided to be with delay of 15days. That cause almost 6 months for my civic x delivery.
This time I changed by dealership and at time or booking I was told that aspire CVT will be delivered in October. Same date I have recieved on sms though Honda.

Guys Idk what is their delivery timming scenario, Like its shocking booked on 17th May, and got 31 december delievry day for all those who are saying it doesnot matter bhae saal key end ka din per mil rahe tou atleast they can do a little favour, Own ka ilawa bhe if i sale after 3 4 years model matters alot 🤷🏻‍♂️
I would probaly visit delarship on monday and show them few screenshot if they disagrees i will demand invoice of 2022, I hope they will agree in this case.

Honda City Booking already dragged till march as per my source, I guess car has already that hype before features and all, And everyone knows car ma nuksaan nahi hoga.
If everyone is talking about new city it clearly means there company tactics works, I prebooked because bhae mujhe shoq nahi 3 4 lac own denaga feature dekh kar which already we have guessed vo sab ha already except sunroof and rear ac vents. Which might we can see in upcomming teasers, baaki launch july ma hogi it means waiting time would be more than 1 year?
I am happy with my desicion as fazal bhai said earlier price will be around 3 to 3.3 million max.
I am totally against from this approach but kia kare pakistan ma sab ulti cheexa hea hoti.
