people are buying chink copies for twice their value and think they are "excellent" so honda can give an old product, price it higher and still people will defend it, most here cannot understand your input and effort for the betterment of pkdm.

It's 1 generation old, they were bound to put these features into this old "NEW" car otherwise Yaris would beat it in sub-compact sedan category.

i am glad that with competition coming in, cars have started improving... who knows we might even get airbags in the new city... or traction control or even hill assist... i am sure minor addons like rear ac vents may be a buying attraction for quite a few potential buyers...

To compete with already on road subcompacts cars like yaris and Alsvin, honda needs to augment its new city with features, then again, if it does not offer good features and specifications, most of the people won't be attracted to a car which is already around in used cars market as honda grace since around half a decade. The narrow looking new city, if not optimally featured, might turn out as a disaster... grace despite being hybrid was not as successful, so lets see what honda offers as a complete package...

Lets hope its rightly priced and made available in market freely

If they have used the picture you are saying, it's not simply cropped. It will need skew adjustment to fit it like in Honda Atlas ad.
So I don't think its the same image. If you compare it side by side, there is a slight but noticable difference in angle.

I agree wth every thng you said, other than that it has to prove itself against alsvin? I mean come on. Alsvin is a very cheap car sold at insanely high price, no "pedigree" car has to prove itself to an over priced scam.

Yaris, city swift, picanto donot have to prove anything to alsvin at its current over-price.

Honda City 6th gen will be a hit in its own realm; and they have taken a big leap of faith by their standards, just leave aside 7th gen fiasco and compare the outgoing 5th gen Aspire top variant with the leaks so far. In comparison this is indeed a really brand new CITY as previously consumers were just getting cosmetic upgrades since ages.

This Old NEW CITY is miles ahead of the outgoing veteran

CITY lovers will be delighted and for them this is a big upgrade.

Practically all companies are following the same pattern. Getting one gen older models... Picanto, Elantra, Sportage and list goes on.. Even Yaris Ativ X is an older (prefacelift) stripped down variant.

Unless the regulators step up their game this circus will continue. Across the globe , regulations drive the market and consumer rights are the key.

Well they are teasing features of Aspire since the beginning so it's most likely to be in Aspire but I would expect them to put atleast all the basic features in Non-aspire varients.
