Inn haalaat mein what lesson, we can taught to Honda Atlas... 1000 people will cancel, 10000 will be ready to book.

Unfortunately, we don't have any fare competition here, and these companies are cashing this opportunity. Chinese car manufacturers have a long way ahead to establish their product as a reliable option.. May be they are at same stage as KIA and Hyundai was in Back 90s...

In Pakistan, we consider cars as an asset and investment... No one including me, would be comfortable spending most of their saving on a car which reliability, durability, aftersales support and resale value is unknow.

if booking by payorder is bound to NTN and account no and booker CNIC....how come files are selling..??

theres also a tax if new car is sold within 90 days of purchase... its not easy as it was before....

booking are done on CNIC NTN and invoice will only be generated on that name.....correct me if i am wrong

Yes you are right... but its same as someone selling on OWN with different name on invoice. if sold within 3 months there is 100K additional tax. People are already paying happily even on cars like Saga and Alsvin..

for file to sell I am not 100% sure how people are handling this but it can be done by simply paying 100% remaining payment in advance. There is no binding that you must have to pay 1 month prior to delivery. once price is confirmed you can made complete payment earlier any time but not later that 1month before delivery month.

not even City but Glory and MG advance booking are selling. you can find many ads.

BTW my dealership told me that i must have to pay either Registration cost or Insurance cost at time of delivery. this way they can avoid OWN. however i don't think so it will make any difference at all.

No offense but Alsvin has an even longer wait. It is unproven in terms of reliability and service and spare parts are impossible to find right now. Not sure how Alsvin can even compete with City.

City 6th generation launch is due to competition from Yaris and even Alsvin as people are booking/buying it and that is what matters (Alsvin worst car though lol)

Totally agree. However, the argument of Alsvin vs City is kind of pointless

"boiz" please refrain from comparing city or yaris with "his higness the Alsvin". Alsvin can be priced 4 mil and it would be fine, all that chrome and flaoting screen is very costly and reliability doesnt matter.

In the event of non comlpliance the VTEC fans would bring back their VTEC mechanics wars and make this thread really boring for everyone else.

Wow, that is another low from Atlas. Booking cannot be cancelled and the booking amount is non-refundable.
What if they suddenly decide to launch 5th gen with 2 shark-fin and 7th gen front grille quoting lack of profitability or high taxes? What if they pull the 1.2 engine altogether and convert all bookings to 1.5 asking additional money?

You want it for personal use, I hope you get yours on time since now booking cannot be cancelled, and your booking amount payment is tied till December.

With such attitude from Atlas, I believe people should boycott them. There are 3 alternatives in the market now, Yaris, Saga and Alsvin.

You have communicated wrong information Brother. If you have received your PBO, it clearly mention on it that you cancel your booking @ 2% deduction of submitted amount.

BTW as per my information, if you cancel you booking before the official reveal. There is no deduction.

If they do charge 2% on canceling initial/partial booking amount, that would be great for those who book cars blindly

I am not sure how dealership give @presario bro, tentative date of Oct on his booking on 28th May. As far as I know, I booked my car on 17th May in 1st Hour when booking was open and got tentative date of Oct and when at 11 AM i was leaving Showroom, they already have started taking POs for Nov and Dec.

Initially for Standard variants on 1st day, tentative delivery was for August and September and for Aspire CVT it was October.

1.2 Manual and Aspire Manual has least booking and these 2 variants later were available for August and September deliveries.

What i had observe on dealership is most people get booking for 1.2 CVT, followed by Aspire cvt. I submitted my PBO at 945 AM and even at that time I was 11th or 12th person in que and got 6th serial number on PO receiving from dealership for Aspire CVT variant.

That's right. Pointless to compare a car like City that's still on paper with Alsvin that's on the road, and looks like an absolute beauty on the road too.

Honda has messed up City's launch. Despite a decades long player offering no airbags even in 2020.

The sales of alsvin and yaris did kick their backs and then they started realizing what an obsolete ancient product in city they were selling as 5th Gen.

A car that would be banned in all the developed countries for being a teen dabba with no safety features.

Alsvin is cheaper but absolutely competes in this subcompact sedan category. Reviews are excellent and the thing looks beautiful too.

Honda has not revealed if they are going to offer 2 shark fin antennas in the old-new city.
