Getting it checked from dealership. Officially Honda gave me Oct timeline, and now they have gone back on their word and changed it to Dec. Not fair.

Ask them if it's possible to switch to January in that case, if the wait is that long might aswell get the 2022 one

You have already book the car than why you are considering to get a car on OWN at launch.
1st OWN at launch will be very high. For 1.2 CVT paying 3 to 4 lac as own money is not worth it.
2ndly there is an additional 100K fine if someone sold the car or get it transferred in 1st 3 months of invoice. Currently Seller wants buyer to pay this fine on transfer and Buyer wants seller to pay this fine as he is already paying hefty own money.

Did you check on Honda Website link. Normally Honda does not change the timeline after confirming tentative delivery date. Its always the dealership issue. Normally they forward POs and booking late to honda Atlas as the are preferring their corporate or business customer on priority.

You can simply check at top of your PBO, when officially your booking is registered with HONDA. Like in my case I booked on 17th May but my booking PBO is generated on 19th. But I was communicated OCT as delivery month by dealership at time of booking and same is mentioned on Honda tentative delivery, so i have no issue with that.

BTW as per my information, if you cancel you booking before the official reveal. There is no deduction.

Janab, I mentioned " As per my Knowledge", which may be not correct. Someone in family get his booking canceled (that is for last year) and as he has some close reference with showroom owner, simple application get him that 2 % waver.

What has clearly written on PBO is already shared here. So claim of our fellow colleague that booking is not refundable is not write or he was misinformed.

Legal and business matters need to be in written. If it says "In case of cancelation, 2% of deposited amount will be deducted on account of Administration Charges" then 2% will be deducted. UNLESS they write no charges on cancellation before official price reveal.

The same 2% is for Toyota but at least Toyota shows the car and also price before booking.

I think they are only waiting for huge amounts of booking and when the quota complete then they launched the vehicle.
