Sir,
1.3 GLi CVT is top selling variant; followed by ATIV 1.3 and at third place is ATIV X 1.5.
This has more to do with PPRA rules (Govt. is the largest purchaser of passenger vehicles) which limits car purchases upto 1300cc (Main bulk of purchases) hence taking out ATIV 1.5... Govt purchases maximum number of vehicles from Toyota & Suzuki... Honda generally stays away from GOP bids due to extremely delayed payments.
Like I said, GOP is the biggest purchaser and Honda stays away from GOP bids; Yaris will continue to sell as Honda isn't even competing for that big chunk of sales.
Similarly most MNCs have a 1300cc cap for managerial/Sr. Manager positions, 1800 cc for Directors and Prados for VPs. As mid level managers are the greatest in number the maximum number of cars purchased fall in 1.3 category. (MNCs are the second biggest purchasers of passenger vehicles). MNCs also prefer Toyota's as Pool Cars are used non stop and Toyota's do well even when abused and for all MNC pool cars intercity trips on poorly maintained roads are frequent.
As for individual purchasers - Toyota Walton & Toyota Sialkot both told me that ATIV 1,3 sells the most...I asked them then why ATIV X 1.5 is the Most listed Yaris in Pakwheels cars section... to which they said these are car which are stuck with investors . and both dealership offered me ready delivery on just 30K own (May 2021) which I politely declined.
As for Honda... when I tried booking City on Day 2... upon query they said 1.2 CVT is the most sought after model and has booked the most. I decided against booking Honda City (Reasons, I have already mentioned in an earlier post)
