Yes people love to generalize and over exaggerate here. Yes hondas are a bit more driver focused than toyotas, but honda econoboxes are in no way sports cars. On the other hand toyotas are slightly more comfortable, but they are by no means a comfortable luxury car. Both brands generally are at par with each other and buyers have to just pick their poison. The differences in everything are extremely minor, yet people love to pretend that they are a huge deal.
This generation honda vs toyota in pak has one big difference though which did not happen before, that is the looks. The civic and city look like normal econobox sedans, nothing special, but the yaris looks like a disabled fish and the corolla x looks like some paindoos dream mod car. Both those cars are an absolute embarrassment and an eyesore. That is why I highly prefer this generation of local hondas vs toyotas.
Yaris was a definite better buy compared to the 5th gen city, but it is pretty unfortunate what the yaris buyers are going to be stuck with for a long time now that the 6th gen city is coming. There is a very obvious reason why yaris owners come to this thread everyday to justify their purchases, yet no city buyers even bother going to the yaris thread because the city 6th gen is such an obvious choice for them and yaris is barely even under any consideration.
Now that yaris owners are losing all ways of defence, some thread crappers just keep insisting on 3.3m price for city day in day out, on and on, cause even the slightest hope of city being much more expensive is the only thing keeping them satisfied about their purchase.
