Just to remind you, Altis 1.6 also has a 4 speed gearbox. Secondly, how can you claim that Saga can not go north? It's the same gearbox as that of a Picanto!

As long as it's city vs corolla it makes sense, what's the point of Le Mans, F1, Toyota, Honda? These are irrelevant. Better to keep it city vs corolla vs yaris or Atlast vs Indus. The facts from around the globe mean jack $h!t to the debate here.

I don't have much experience with Honda City. Just had an aspire 1.5 manual for 2 weeks in 2019 for testing (My father in laws car) as he was selling the car. After testing it extensively; I so much wanted to get that but decided against it as my tail bone & back started having moderate to severe pain despite using additional cushioning and lumbar support. (PS: I have back issues).

First I thought that may be the shocks are worn out so I took it to Honda dealership and had the car evaluated in detail...Honda has an evaluation service for used car .. I used that service .. they took almost 2 hours and inspected almost everything... they took a 10 mins drive with me as well.They said that everything is perfect.

The drive, acceleration and overall engine response was very good.

My final take is that Honda City Aspire 1.5 (Manual) is fun to drive but not recommended for people with back/lumbar spine issues.

My cousin had Honda Grace for almost 2 years..I rode with him a couple of times ... I found that slightly more comfortable than the PKDM City but still it was no where near as comfortable as our office pool cars (Corollas).

Excellent driving... PS: He is a professional driver... and enjoying it ... never thought that Saga had such excellent handling capabilities..in the second half he really pushes it hard and yet it does exceptionally well..

It seems that Saga 1.3 AT holds up pretty well going uphill at high speed and also handles cornering at high speed nicely ...

Two points here are worth mentioning because of which Proton Saga is known for its stability in international market
1. Three bolts strut mounts
2. Strut Bar

However, whether these will be available in CKD units is unknown. Although these may not be very expensive but companies try to save every penny possible for our market. Sad but true for all auto manufacturers/assemblers in Pak

4 speed gearboxes are annoying to drive. Haven't driven an automatic Picanto, but have driven 2 generations of GLi, and they are annoying as hell in the mountains.

Altis 1.6 also has a 4 speed gearbox

So annoying. We all bash Honda (rightly so) but we ignore the fact that a 3.4 million rupee car comes with a 4 speed gearbox? That's just criminal.
