Pak wheels report is totally fake. They have no solid evidence. Honda want to handle Yaris with fake news to minimize Yaris sales.
If 7th generation will be launched then why Honda import 6th generation CBU?
If Honda want to launched 7th generation then why they order 6th generation City parts to their vendors?
Still 6th generation plastic parts manufactured and no one Honda official asked their vendors to stop their production.

I think it does. 1300cc city in its current generation gives better mileage compared to its 1500cc couterpart. The difference is around 3-4 km/l and for ysers like me, it is a significant difference

It's not available for the 7th gen City and I said that with reference to the PW blog where the writer mentioned engine options. So, seems to me the news of 7th generation is more of assumptions. On ground available facts reflect it will be GM6 City

Honda is going to launch 7th generation city in 1st quarter of 2021 as per Sunil Manj in his latest PakWheels video. There will be 3 variants (1.3, 1.5 and 1.0 Turbo).

1.3 is dead for 7th generation as far as I know . I still think PW info is on basis of assumptions and not facts.

Also I doubt Atlas will take chance on another turbo engine.

I have seen the video BUT as I said, it's on basis on assumptions. Everyone wants the 7th and I would like to see that as well personally. I think things will get clear in near future.

Keep in mind, sometime ago assumptions were also made about arrival of RAV4 and even recently about arrival of KIA Cerato. Cerato as per available information is not coming and Corolla Cross is coming as CBU instead of Rav4.

Is it possible that Honda launches 6th and 7th gen both?

7th gen is larger and will be more expensive than Yaris which would leave Yaris without competition in its price segment. 6th gen will be cheaper and will be able to compete with Yaris in term of pricing as well. Honda won't want to leave the cheapest sedan segment all to Toyota so it makes sense for them to launch the cheaper of the two vehicles.

In India Honda hasn't discontinued 6th gen City and will be selling it alongside 7th gen so that they have a product that can compete in lower priced segment. Honda Atlas can devise similar approach and position 6th gen against Yaris, 7th gen against Altis 1.6 while Civic will continue to compete with Grande.

Maybe rumors about launch of both versions are correct

Not at all. Only one generation will be on offer and that will probably be 6th. India is a much bigger market and sells thousands of units a month. That is why they can justify this strategy.

However i do think that a few years from now, atlas may kill off the civic in pakistan since it's price is getting ridiculously high. The next gen will be even more expensive so i think one of 2 things could happen :
1. Civic gets completely killed off and 7th gen city takes its place as flagship sedan (3.5 to 4mn).
2. Atlas continues milking 10th gen civic for as long as it can (just like current city)
