There is always a way people work around, now people dealing on own will offer to get car registered on their name and transfer later to avoid penalty...

Now is the time. Agar log ab Alto pe own dena refuse kar dain, it will hit the mafia hard. Toyota delivering Yaris on time is already happening, if people act now, own mafia might quit the under 3 million bracket.

Also electrics got huge tax reductions but all those speculations of electric car influx here have suspiciously disappeared. Yet we just got a horribly priced zs ev. Plus the electric tax reduction is supposed to last a year only. Seems just like fake environmental pandering.

If the government wants to save money and be greener, y not encourage CNG? Also for some reason there are no diesel cars in our country, new diesel cars are so fuel efficient and last a life time,
Buying an electric or hybrid even in SA or USA is not cheap and our policy makers are forcing a move to electric.
I think they got awestruck by the chino wuling auto rickshaw and thought oh it’s a good car.

Yaris in Pakistan is xp150 and xp150 is available in both sedan and hatch but Vitz is xp130

Pakistan is already having gas crisis , But ofcourse diesel engines should be back. Adds variety and also are more fuel efficient than the petrol engines , and diesel and petrol rates in pakistan today are almost same.

Bro Diesel engines will be good for users. Not only are they more fuel efficient, diesel engines have almost double the life compared to petrol engines. But they are more damaging to the environment

I recently saw a BMW 4 series car and was amazed how similar the rear looks to Honda City.
I realized Honda loves to copy BMW.

Dont they have some emission controls now?I think modern catalytic converters are pretty good at reducing those emissions , i am not sure though.

In india even after BS6 standards they still have diesel engines running.

Yes BS6 fuel also requires engine modifications and adds to cost. Some manufacturers have dropped their diesel engines altogether.

As peran article that I read a few months back, Market Toyota is wrapping up operations there after failed negotiations with GOI.

Toyota's point of view is that people will completely stop buying Land Cruisers, Prados and Fortuners as they are costly, aren't BS6 compliant and are their prime revenue gathering products; as per the new policy even the SUVs sold in 2021 have been rendered illegal and company therfore has stopped production of Landcruiser, Prado & Fortuner.
