Bro actual issue is demand and supply gap and due to long wait period there is always a RISK of increase in car price. So till the time Government cannot control this gap, OWN will be there in market.

I am not supporter of OWN money but I remember back in 2010 I bought Corolla GLI on 30k OWN. at the time it cost me 1454k inclusive of OWN and booking period at that time was 3 months. and after 2 days car price was increase to 1525k ( a 100K increase in Price). So if at that time i had booked the car on 3 months delivery, I had been end up paying 100K extra...

Now prices are increase insanely high and delivery timelines are stretched to 6 months and more in many cases so OWN money has gone high as well.

This demand supply gap is artificial. investor buy more cars, new order delivery time increases. genuine buyer pays own to investor to buy the car.

for the price increase i think in your case it somehow made sense. however now in current price ranges car price will take more time than delivery for the price to increase beyond own money

the way i see it, this own money culture is same as the unauthorized man asking for 20 rupees outside free dirty public washrooms. and you have to pay else he will bully you and you wont be able to go inside.

true this , the way you can understand whether their is a supply demand gap is knowing the production capacity of automakers. If a carmaker can produce 2000 vehicles per month but only selling like 1200 and still creating that supply demand gap to bring investors and black money into game , then know that its artificial. Whats the official capacity of honda atlas?

wesay considering the manufacturing faults in Civic i hope that launching old generation of city will help not have any faults.... but we can never be sure....

Atlas is giving out a easter egg feature where your wind shield wipers start working when you open passenger side door

atleast 50,000 units per year (2013 claimed to double; 100,000 units) cant find confirmation if they doubled it or not in 8 years.

Anyways ATlas can do 4200 cars a month atleast.

For 2020-21 financial year ATlas made 25,200 units of civic + city + maybe few hundred units of BRV. with 4-5 month wait time. this coud have been cut to 2 months easily considering 50k capacity

I remember at time of CIVIC X launch, Honda has claim that they are working in dual Shifts to meet customer timeline. At that time my car was delayed for 5 plus months after prebooking and 1st I received a apology letter for delay in delivery where they have mentioned about dual shifts and after the delivery I have received a 25k plus amount cheque from honda and a apology letter.

single shift me 50k capacity hai.... double would mean 100k capacity. somehow their competetion is also japanese and way better at their manufacturing and supplychain

Everybody around here is in race of making easy money hence making ones little contribution to push this country off the cliffs edge.

Also, i find it a great opportunity to narrate such recent event. I was at sangjani Cattle market for Eid Goat. We parked a car besides the market in one agricultural looking barren land. When we got out of the car, some medieval boys came to us asking for parking fee as they were the proclaimed owners of land. At that time, i came to know level of depth for greed of money of this so called muslim Pakistani nation.

Exactly, after Real estate market which became victim of dealer mafia last year, its Automotive industry's turn to get effed by the investor mafia running against easy money.

Personally, I prefer to pay more money to Vehicle assembler for prospective price increase rather than help circulate undocumented money in the economy by paying Rupiyas to dealers.

Good news this , all the speculations will finally be done and dusted. Also heard from owner(mohsin ateeq) of honda falcon skt that deliveries starting from 15th of august. Fingers crossed.

Went to Honda Township for Periodic Maintenance. They too said display on August 3rd!

So if this is true.
1.2 and 1.5 basic customers get an absolute bareone vehicle (basically the same as the outgoing model with an addition of airbag). Crazy Atlas couldn't even give the rear vents.
Disappointed.
Last wish would be not to get the all black dull interior.

If the 1.2 cvt variant is a dime above 2.5mil I'll be seriously sad for choosing this crap.
