Toyota Vs Honda the real game starts from now, Both cars are ammazing. Yaris 1.5 Loaded vs aspire 1.5 it would be a fun to watch.
You Cant say yaris is better, This time city is offering alot of things we never expected. Read Previous thread comments noone was expecting these features. It would be healthy competition in pakistan from now.

Only if Atlas decides to price its city insanely, and at a competitive price.

Toyota NR series engines went in production in 2008. The one used in 1.5 Yaris is newer modified version which was commissioned in 2017.

Honda L series engines went in production in 2001; the one coming in New CITY is a newer modified version of L15 which was commissioned in 2013.

I hope you can do the math which one is newer.... who said that Honda can't/doesn't make DOHC engines. They do and they are excellent machines

But Honda Atlas decided not to put in a 1.5L DOHC I-Vtec Engine in Honda City (That's the one which is in Honda Fit/Vezel etc) because the SOHC variant is much cheaper (around 40% cheaper than their DOHC counterparts) yet it's an excellent engine and will suit the Pakistani market due to better fuel efficiency.

No led lights, ordinary bulbs everywhere, no special features even in the top of the line.
I feel sorry for people who booked the car without knowing anything. This is honda trolling at their best.
This makes alsvin a even better buy.
Should have just ended the vehicle production.

Honda has come forward with a really good offering package this time.
It can surely kill of chinese competition as well as Yaris. So much so it has many features which Altis X 1.6 is lacking and users have been asking for it for many years:

1. CVT transmission vs Altis old 4 speed auto (very bad on fuel average)
2. Retractable Mirrors
3. Push Start
4. Auto climate control
5. Rear AC vents
6. Price 3.5 lacs less than altis 1.6
7. New shape vs Altis 7 year old shape
8. Fog lamps
9. Android system with inbuilt SIM slot
10. leather interior vs cloth
11. chrome garnish in interior vs plastic in altis 1.6

How is indus going to respond to this?? Since their own new model is atleast 1.5 years away. Can we expect Altis 1.6 to be removed from indus lineup just as 1.8 cvt is going? Maybe Indus will pack up and cater to only Grande /Fortuner/Hilux customer from now and leave this price bracket to Chinese and Honda.

DOHC has only come with the latest 7th gen city , nowhere the DOHC was available in 6th gen city. May be the compatability issue with the platform. The SOHC is an excellent engine and when yo when the vtec kicks in , its beauty

Yep... Honda excels at that.

Yaris is a sluggish car in comparison IMHO. If there is a drag race between Aspire 1.5 and ATIV 1.5 ... Honda will easily win in my opinion.

Nothing revolutionary. Still an obsolete model launched at the same time as Corolla globally without much needed safety features.

Secondly, it's not fair to compare the two. Both are different segment sedans.

The buying decision comes out to be on the price now. If they price it sane, it'll sell. Otherwise, wait for an year (which most of us are already considering the insane delivery times) and you might get a better spec 12th Gen 1.6 Altis at a better value for money.

I am not a fan of car per se , only the engine. Would do wonders in yaris's hood.
