good features in their product only thing which bothers me is the old generation and lack of few safety feature

Islamabad is filllllllllllllllllled with yaris. its no more an urban / rural concept anymore. also , even if you go to villages one see half of the cars are imported.

i am honda owner (current civic x, before civic 8th and 5th gen and last city) ; i was waiting for honda release, but now i am selling my second car (mira 2018) and moving to yaris. will share pictures inshAllah. The major factor is that i want to boycott honda for taking us for granted and serving us with an old version altogather. this is a disgrace in itself and over the top no VSC.

PS: i am the same guy who is defending civic x against elantra. one doesnt have to be an OEM fanboy; we have to compare model/segments which are at par.

Agree this is also the reason I move towards yaris LOL, my father had grace in the past so I was keen to buy City (only if honda releases 7th gen) but after the confirmation of 6th gen with delivery time of more than 3 months move towards toyota.

lol you are welcome to visit MM Alam, Johar Town, Bahria Town and I can personally show you more then you've ever seen
give credit where it is due, yaris is selling alot but again I think urban people try to go for Honda

Such a hike isn't justifiable even with all the additional features as well as the fact it also lacks certain features which Yaris has to offer.

Dont forget that city 1.5 has a better engine than yaris 1.5. The actual toyota yaris, being offered in Japanese market, the yaris hatchback has got the latest toyota engine though (toyota dynamic force M15A-FKS) but that is not coming to our market any time soon

I've read this again and again. Can you please elaborate?
Isn't the engine same as the BR-v? The same engine that's been used here for more than 5 years now, SOHC with a minor intake tweak..
I've not read the exact figures, but I'm sure it's nothing revolutionary, compared with toyotas 1.6 or 1.5 (correct me if I'm wrong).
How exactly is this the superior engine? Just because it has higher hp, or is there anything else backing that claim?

Even with SOHC it has higher HP than toyota`s offering in yaris 1.5 (with dual vvt) and equal to toyota`s 1.6 engine in altis. Furthermore if you look at the fuel economy numbers (Indian ARAI), city 1.5 is the clear winner so that credit for better fuel economy also goes to the engine.
Oh and btw, Honda`s L15B1 engine is DOHC (in its 1.5 lineup) and produces 130BHP.

The worst situation is trailers on GT road which overtake at the last minute ending up blocking both lanes of the road and many times they're literally going at 25 km/h. Last time i had to swerve to the left lane because of said truck while going at 110 and the dumba** decided to go back to his lane making me swerve back in my lane at the same speed. Note* the truck had no rear working lights and only decided to do this at a 30 meter distance from me at the last moment. It was VSA only which kept the car able to steer literally back and forth while remaining under full control. A non VSA car would have def skid.

Rural buyers actually prefer to buy a screaming xli/gli over a yaris or a 1.6 as they have now started buying

bhai altis is next category sedan , its your choice. Altis is bigger , wider and more powerful. If you wantore features then yaris should be your choice.

Honda City is coming with a 1.5 SOHC engine; its the same as BRV. It was introduced back in 2013. Yaris has a newer engine (Dual VVTi Variant was first introduced in 2017.

SOHC provides better fuel efficiency; DOHC offers better peak performance & is relatively less fuel efficient.

SOHC engines have fewer parts and is much cheaper in comparison to DOHC Engines.

Honda has very cleverly decided to go for SOHC engine as it will cost them a lot less and will give more fuel efficiency to customers which is a win win situation for both; more so for Honda though as it significantly increases their profit margins.

Altis 1.6 is not more powerful. It has the same power and torque figures. However, it lacks many of the features the 1.5 City has to offer.

Toyota NR dates back pre-2010 and improvements have been made to it over time. Hona L15 is a bit newer than that. Also its not that honda cant make DOHC engines, infact Honda was the first japanese engine manufacturer to ever use DOHC in their engines back in 60s.

You shared a video of a Civic is so low that getting in and out of it is a pain, For that car even without VSC it wont go out of hand like a City or a Yaris or a raised Corolla would.

Simply because of the raised height.

No arguments here. Baqi sab theek hai. Because of the extra raised height of locally assembled cars.

Corolla is a clear example for motorway, hi-speed over turns.

Even at hi speed braking, the car lifts it self from the back leaving the road.

City 4th Gen, 5th Gen are stiff to counter the overturn else on sharp turn at speed 80 km/h if their is dust sand particles on the road your car would easily do 360 degree donuts.
