Like I said earlier, Altis is gonna get upgraded and will definitely get some feature upgrades soon. Then there's a 1.6 Elantra, Peugeot 2008 and Stonic coming soon. So it all comes down to preferences and value for money!

In some ways it does get some feature upgrades, in others it lacks what the competition holds. The price in itself doesnt justify the differences!

I am a Honda fanboy too. Was thinking about getting the new Aspire or Civic XI but now I dont think the city is worth upgrading too. Civic is still an year away, all hopes with Indus to bring in a better product in terms of 1.6 Altis!

have you properly driven a VTEC? are you aware of the VTEC fuel mileage with the "peak" numbers? get your info straight and read some articles on VTEC "redline" and it effects on CVT

When did I bring vtec into argument? Mention one recent comment. Everyone knows that the i-vtec offered in l15 (in new city) is not the true vtec implementation. And generally speaking, any engine tuned for economy in lower revs (assumption here) will negatively impact cvt output to wheels. Biggest examples are jdm 1.0 and 660 cars with cvts. You have to wait like forever in them to accelerate

The same engine is doing well with honda jazz which is almost the weight of city.

12th gen corolla is almost an year away, and when Indus will launch it here by that time we may see 13th gen corolla globally. Maybe Indus will skip 12th gen corolla this time

I thinkn the fit is prefered with the 1.5 engine and thje 1.2 is considered the snail motor, also jazz is almost 100 kg lighter than city.

If u leave price a side, its a nice car, better fit and finish. Softer seats than civic and old city.. beautiful cabin ambiance and looks. Height also doesnt seems odd.

Overall aspire is nice package..

Also as per salesman, this 1.5 engine is from earth dream series, which is different from old city and BRV.
