Please tell me what are the features in base 1.2 City and Toyota Yaris..
I have no idea of both (civic + suzuki)...

So the 1.5 base cvt with all aspire options possible is 144k cheaper than aspire cvt.

So for 144k extra you get:
Alloys
Push Start
Smart key entry
Auto retractable mirrors
4 speakers
Climate control
Rear AC ventilation
Chrome finishing in the interior

Seems worth it if you are going to get 9 inch screen and leather added on to the base 1.5 anyways. OEM alloys alone are worth a lot. Plus OEM alloys look amazing while the OEM steels with hubcaps look absolutely atrocious. They remind me of wagon r and alto hubcaps.

Locally produced hybrid corolla will be a huge needed step in the right direction. Hopefully others will follow as well.

Yes but hybrid is extremely complex, and with local sub-standard manufacture it might be prone to issues. And hybrid needs proper maintenance to run in the long term. In other threads people have shared their experience that Pak Suzuki has not trained their mechanics on repairing the AGS unit, and parts are also not available at their 3S dealerships. I doubt they will train their mechanics to properly maintain hybrids. Yes their are Prius in the world that have done 500k+ km (300k+ miles) with one or two with a million miles done, but all that complexity needs to be maintained by the book. And I am not sure what will happen to 2ZR-FXE when 20W50 is poured in brand new

mashaALLAH, you are one lucky man.. And this is my approach too, to buy a reasonable used Civic etc instead of huge money for a new City etc....
In 3-4 years the cars depreciate and people get bored by them..

I have seen some local priuses lasting 200k plus on 20w50 that is maybe fake. They do consume a lot of oil around that stage and do need a rebuild by then. Anyone who puts 20w50 from unauthorized sources in modern engines deserves to get screwed.

AGS and CVT are pretty complicated to be worked on by local mechanics. Good thing is that the e-cvts in hybrids are very reliable.

Considering most local priuses have not been a problem in any area besides batteries aging, I think hybrids are reliable enough for pak as they don't need much work done to them.

That is true, the e-CVT is simple and reliable. I remember reading somewhere that it is like half a gearbox.

Are you sure about the efficiency figures?
Because if you want to go that route, you need to account for all the efficiencies/inefficiencies involved in all the process. There are thousands of steps involved in producing electric cars. Raw material extraction, battery manufacturing, etc.
Then the electricity for charging the car? Where does it come from? Unless you are using Hydro-electricity, once again you are going to face emissions and inefficiences..
Take for example Solar panels you need a lot of them to produce sufficient current; what about the extraction of Si-O2, and other metals from earth that are used to produce them?
...
The more steps we involve in final production/usage of power, the more we waste the energy..
In my opinion, a diesel is a good investment for both environment and economy.. A Hybrid Diesel will give you best mileage ( check the Mercedes Hybrid-Diesels)...

What suspension change they did in 2019?

I do not know the exact change (parts etc) but what I know is the new one (with 16 inch alloys) is more stable and feels less like riding on a cloud at high speeds, and corners better too. This is both in 1.6 and 1.8 models.

This is true as well, Prius and specially Aqua did reasonably well here, other than aging batteries (3 years already spent in Japan), and a known ABS issue (improved in the 2011 facelift), there was no widespread problem in Toyota hybrids here. At the same time these experiences are mostly from big cities, not sure how they will do in the villages and smaller cities.
